Steve Birbeck Six Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its another one of those places where I need an extra star! We were visiting Hastings for the day and wanted a nice lunch, and we certainly found one at Petit Fi. Extremely welcoming from the moment you step through the door, you immediately get a good feeling about the place. Nice chilled atmosphere, very friendly staff and lovely looking cakes (more about them in a minute). We ordered the Seafood Chowder and one of the daily specials, Stilton, Cranberry and Walnut Filo tart, with a glass of wine each. The chowder was so good I could have licked the bowl clean. Nice amount of bread with it, decent bread too. The tart was also excellent, a good size portion served with salad and potatoes. We couldnt resist some cake after, so we had a piece of ginger cake and a piece of carrot and walnut. All cakes are home-made and the ones we had were so good we had to get a piece of Guinness and Chocolate to take home. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Hastings, I doubt you will be disappointed. Thank you Petit Fi.

Giles Robertson Absolutely delicious! Beautiful tartare to start, accompanied by a crisp salad and cheese dumplings. The mushrooms and pickled chilli really made the dumplings sing. Highlight was definitely the devilled mackerel. Amazing flavour and a generous portion. The wine list is also great, with the orange and rose wines matching perfectly with delicious plum ripple ice-cream and grapefruit meringue pie.

Sam Saunters Outstanding little private restaurant. Service was impeccable and the chalkboard menu did not disappoint (Ive every faith it changes with the days catch!). We had scallops and potted crab to start, rack of lamb and hake for mains and panna cotta and chocolate torte for dessert. Everything was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough, but BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Its a very small place (25 covers as far as I could tell) so I can imagine walk ins get lucky very often. The bill was not cheap, but we were happy to pay for the quality we received. Well be back for sure.

Michael Lees Best pie and chips Ive had in a long time! Kentish made pies are so much better than Pukka etc. The food is fried in the traditional way using 100% beef dripping so the batter and chips are not greasy at all. Rich in flavour youll notice the difference immediately. Prices are reasonable and theres a large outside seating area to enjoy your meal.

Julia E Really excellent Sunday roast. Definitely recommend it, and booking a table. Handy location close to station and shops. Friendly staff, service reasonably quick considering what we ordered. Cosy old pub feel.
