5 /5 Catarina Ferreira: I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and relaxed. We went for a late lunch on a Thursday, so it was quiet, just us and another table, which made the experience even more pleasant. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The only small downside is that, since the kitchen is open, you do leave with a fairly strong food smell on your clothes. Other than that, everything was truly enjoyable, and I’d definitely return.

4 /5 Katie Horsfield: Enjoyed trying out Canal Restaurant - nice vibes, great service, good cocktails and wines and a very fun menu. The waiters were very attentive and friendly! Unfortunately some of the menu missed the mark - not all executed to the highest standard, some dishes were quite bland and underseasoned. The crab toast and the burger were both pretty average. The chicken schnitzel with caper beurre blanc, however, was excellent. Great Tiramisu too.

5 /5 Antonia Beatson-Hird: We came here for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The food, atmosphere and service were incredible. Sitting at the counter was really special and a great spot for date night. Bavette cooked to perfection, the smoked mussels were so different and delicious, and the burger was a real highlight - one of the best I’ve had in London! They even gave us a free dessert with a candle which was a nice touch. A great addition to the local area, we’ll be back for sure.

5 /5 Osman Kâhya: The food was incredible. Reservation recommended for a table. We called last minute and we got bar seats. Staff is very friendly specially Abdullahi and food came quick. You should definitely try the chocolate mousse!! Sadly the WiFi not working was the only bad thing besides that everything was good

3 /5 Rubén Martínez: We feel the restaurant was slightly overpriced, paid 100 pounds for not the best service. Empty restaurant and still not good service with two people on FOH. Didn’t show us where to put our jackets when we entered the room. Barely said goodbye when we left. And couldn’t explain the menu other than reading the dishes, thing that we could have done by ourselves. Order a cola when the waiter was at the table cleaning some starter plates and didn’t even pay attention to me ordering it. Got a 200ml Cola and got charged 3.5 pounds, just annoying pricing for such a small thing. Nothing wrong with the food other than missing salt in the chicken snitzel and acidity in the beaurre Blanc. The bread was great, as well the pumpkin starter, which the restaurant manager couldn’t even describe it for us before ordering. About the burger (we didn’t order it) she said, its our best seller but “it’s just a cheese burger with a sweet bread” nice way of selling it. This complain it’s just about the front of house, not welcoming at all. The male waiter/bartender was slightly nicer at the beginning, then tried to approach and clean when we were not done with the food and everything crumbled with him. We felt that he didn’t want us to be there from that moment on.
