5 /5 Md. Riadus Salehin: Tried the wings. Fantastic! Spicy & crunchy. Ordered 3, gave me 3 more as compliment because one or two of the wings were not adequately big. Tried the mango drink, good one. Theyve got good variety of drinks. Staff and the manager were extremely cordial. The only thing I didnt like was the odour inside. Overall , definitely recommended!

Dixy Chicken Basingstoke really stands out compared to the bigger, more popular chains where food is often pre-made and ends up lukewarm by the time you get it. Here, the food is fresh, hot, and genuinely tasty every single time. The quality for the price is outstanding – amazing value for money. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly and always does his best to accommodate your preferences, which makes the experience even better. Strongly recommend if you want fresh food, great service, and proper value.

5 /5 Ash Jones: This place completely went beyond our expectations. Popped in to give it a try on a whim and it was soo good. The chicken is absolutely delicious, so much meat on the wings, it was such great value for money and the service was fantastic. They checked in with us at the end to get some feedback and they seem to be really passionate about what they do. Will be coming back for sure!

5 /5 Craig R: We ordered online via Dixys website for collection; easy to order and when I arrived everything was ready for me walking through the door, and they put it in carry bags when I was ready to leave with the drinks. They even offered to help carry everything to car. 10 minute drive home, opening the bags and boxes, all the food looked good. Ill breakdown the food below: BBQ beast Burger - 5 stars, the wife loved it BBQ Chicken Wings - 5 stars, they were awesome! Chicken fell off bone and the sauce was full of favour. Best thing we had. Hot Wings - 5 stars, not as good as the BBQ ones, but again cooked perfectly and the chicken was really tender. Boneless Chicken Tenders - 4 stars, nice flavour, great crispy coating that held on. Some of the chicken tenders werent as good as some of the others, so overall a 4 but still enjoyable. Chicken Bits (Freebie) - 4 Stars, these were tasty with a crispy coating and went down well with the gravy. Just not as good the the chicken wings. Will definitely order them next time. Double Cheese Burger - 5 Stars, my brother is a burger connoisseur and he really liked this burger, coming from him, its a big compliment. Chips - 3 stars for the chips but likely due to the time to drive home and sort out 4 peoples food. Firstly, there was a lot of chips, good portion size. They were still warm, could have been hotter but like I said, there was a 10 minute drive home. Nice texture and still enjoyed them with the gravy. Gravy - solid 4 stars, good temperature, nice flavour and was plenty of it for me. Maybe if everyone likes gravy in your group, ask for some more. Overall, really positive experience and food exceeded expectations. If you want something like other chicken shops but at about 70-80% of the cost with larger portions, then you wont be disappointed. We will definitely come back again.

I am utterly shocked and disgusted by my experience at Dixy Chicken in Basingstoke on 20 November 2025.The service was already terrible slow, disorganised, and we were ignored while two customers and three Uber drivers were served before us, even though we arrived first. But the real issue is the shocking lack of hygiene and food safety. One of the staff members (a man in a yellow shirt with a beard) was wearing black gloves, but was touching everything with the same gloves; the food, the counters, and even using his phone while talking on it, then going back to handling our food. He also was not wearing a beard net, which is basic hygiene. Completely unacceptable.
When we got home and began eating our meal with our family, halfway through we discovered that the chicken was RAW. Not undercooked, RAW. We deboned the rest of the box and realised almost the entire box was raw inside, even though it looked cooked on the outside. We had already eaten one box before realising this. The next day, both me and my partner had food poisoning. Severe diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach pain. I personally am clinically vulnerable, living with a rare autoimmune condition, recently finishing rituximab infusions , and currently on medication. Eating raw chicken could have been life-threatening for me. This is extremely dangerous for the public. Many people I know have also complained of being served raw or soggy chicken from this same branch. This needs URGENT investigation. I will be reporting this to the council. Avoid this place for your OWN SAFETY.
