What Clients Are Saying East India Restaurant, Surbiton (GG)
4 /5 Graham: A nice cheep place to go, with good quality food and they do half price on food if you pay in cash. Service was quick and helpful. Would have been five stars but they dont have chicken chat puri on the menu.
1 /5 TSixSix66: So disgusting I chucked the food away Got a chicken corma It smells like baby sick It is yellow. I’ve never seen a coma like this.
1 /5 Jo Hards: Food was poor and service even worse. 100 pounds for 2 adults and 2 children, was charged 3.50 each for childs orange squash...ie 7 pounds on 1 pint of squash and tap water! Very disappointed could have had a much better curry on the same street for less, tried to politely speak to manager but he was rude and dismissive. No wonder its always empty will never return
4 /5 danbwest: Attended for a works meal, service was fair given the amount of people attended. The food was decent. Price was great, given we got a 50% off deal!
5 /5 Sérgio Paulino: Really nice local Indian restaurant. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Prices are a must. Always go for the Garlic Naan and the Chutney Tray. Malayan chicken and Biryani.
Mike Rupp We have been there yesterday for the first time. We were warmly welcomed, and the gentleman took our order swiftly. They also asked if we wanted some papadoums ( hope I spelled it right) as appetisers. Food took a bit to arrive which is a very good sign as it’s freshly cooked. Food was very good and portions generous. The staff wasn’t pushy like you find so often in restaurants and ask if all is ok. We could hear a couple which comes to this restaurant over 10 years and that mean something!
Everything is reasonably priced and not to expensive. We definitely would come back as their menu is rather big.
Only one thing I would suggest. Why not play a bit of calming Indian music in the background to enhance the atmosphere?Once again thank you very much to the team!!!
J S What a find. Dined in, lovely staff. I know a few Vietnamese dishes but I was keen to try something different. They were so great helping us choose. Their friendliness was refreshing. The food was incredibly tasty. It was also very well priced. We will be returning for sure. Authentic Vietnamese flavours. YUM.
Bianca Underhill Epic brunch spot just outside of town and on the river. Always met with great service, excellent food and a warming atmosphere. I’d go every day if I could. Highly recommend the baked eggs.
Amraz Cosy little restaurant, seems family run. Very enjoyable meal in a welcoming environment.
Would highly recommend a visit if youre in the area. You wont be disappointed!
Paul Bartlett Had a family dinner at Renas on a Thursday evening. Great decor, superb food and spot-on service. Cannot fault it. We had both vegetarian and meat dishes which were superb. Reasonably priced and the portions were the right size. We had different starters and main courses, nobody had a bad dish. The owner greets and waits tables and has obviously really invested in this restaurant. Strongly recommend you give Renas a try. Will be going back....
