Chertsey Restaurant -
Steven Steve First time visiting. Food was very good and prices were good (mains around £5.50, sides £3.25, garlic naan £2.30). Dishes were full of flavour. Naan breads were perfect. They were happy to accommodate different dish requests.
The "screaming hot balti" was very indeed very hot!
Garlic chilli main we was very nice as was the korai and tarka Dal. Aloo chaat Puri and prawn Puri starters were great.
Friendly staff, although we visited at 10pm and were asked to order quickly (restaurant states that it is open until midnight on a Saturday. That was the only negative.
The restaurant has a nice selection of beers, with Cobra on draught and mongoose bottled beer 660ml. I havent seen mongoose for years so it was interesting to try that (its the original Cobra recipe). One friend had an Aspals cider, it was a fancy version and 7% abv!
Ill try takeaway next time. If its as good as it was when dining in, then this will be my new go-to for takeaway.
