Alaric Evans I really like this. We had the fish platter for 2, 4 types of ceviche and 3 cooked fish portions. My son ate all the cassava chips so i didnt get to try them. Also recommend cassava rolls, the white cheese and Garlic dip and of course the Pisco Sours. And the main man says hes called Julius Caesar. Whats not to like?

Laura Hall Was having a really hard day today feeling homesick so decided to go to Beans and Barley for a breather. Only ordered a coffee so my son (a toddler) could use the play area. Even so the staff were so nice and interacted with my son (he was dancing to their music) and even gave him a chocolate as we were leaving. (The coffee was good too.) It helped make a hard day a little easier.

Sarah Archer-palmer I had a surprise birthday last Saturday organised by my daughter. It was for 22 people, preordered food & wine. Unfortunately 5 people couldn’t come but the staff, especially JP and Alex, went out of their way to change the tables, move chairs etc, relay everything. It was quick, efficient and calm. They took over everything. The food was excellent, I had fish & chips. The chef was very flexible with timings and all food came out at once. I know everyone enjoyed their meal as there were lots of compliments! The rugby was on the TVs but didn’t overbear our table and lots of us enjoyed it in the background. This encouraged the fun, laid back atmosphere. The end of the evening was relaxed with making payments and the flexibility to chop and change was very appreciated. Hannah had an excellent team which goes to show she is an excellent manager. We are locals and really enjoyed showing off The Drummond in all her updated glory to my close friends and family. A very special evening. Thank you. Sarah

Tsunami This place is absolutely wonderful. I got the goat cheese, beetroot, pumpkin and pomegranate salad. Was absolute fire. The bold flavours were all competing with one another: the pomegranate molasses and the goat cheese, with the lettuce and tomato setting the scene, and then you get a bold walnut aftertaste to take the cake. I ordered extra chicken on the side for more protein.
