5 /5 Gino Zambe: Very nice lady who served me. She sensed it was my first time and she offered me a nice deal. Had a good meal instead of a quick fast food meal. I would recommend.

5 /5 Hanna Espino: Ordered oxtail with a side of plantain and chicken stew as part of their lunch deal. Portions were huge and taste was amazing. Oxtail stew had good amount of tender meat pieces and the sauce was flavourful. The rice and peace were also fragrant and you can smell and taste a hint of coconut. The lunch deal also good value for money. It came with the chicken stew, veggies, rice and drink. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and helped us decide on our order with recommendations. Definitely recommend!

3 /5 Eduarda Werneck: The food was good, portion was large. Plantains a little bit dry, but good portion and tasted good. The people working there were quite friendly. The reason this isn’t a 5 star is because I ordered a ginger beer (2.50£), got given a bottled ginger and lemon juice. I asked the waiter if that was ginger beer, he said yes it’s homemade. I wasn’t familiar, but drank it. Still had a slight suspicion but he had reassured me. When the meal was done he even asked how we found the ginger beer. When the bill came, the drink was labeled ‘DK’ and cost 4.50£. I asked the waiter, he said the 2.50 is the Jamaican ginger beer, and that was a DK ginger beer… Of course at that point, I had already drank it so there was no point in arguing or pushing it, but overall I left feeling frustrated.

3 /5 wavez Rolls: I ordered the chicken patty which was delicious — nice texture and very filling. However, the saltfish fritter was drenched in oil. I only had one bite and had to throw it away. The festival was nice and chunky with a good bite to it, not like other places where it can be very hard. I also tried the pineapple, ginger and lemon drink which was really nice. It cost £5, though it’s something I could probably make myself at home. Overall the service was good. I’ll likely come back and try their jerk chicken with rice and peas next time.
