Rob Photo-Video First time having a toastie here at this mainstay of Newington Green. Delicious, dense homemade bread toasted for ages so the cheese forms a beautiful crust where it spills out. Very very nice. Loyalty card is a good idea. And they sell lots of cheese and loaves. I was served by Olivier, who is very helpful, charming and dedicated to the place where he works!

George South The food was a perfect way to cure an evening hunger. I ordered a croque monsieur with mushrooms and it came with an addition of crisps which was perfect to complement it. While it wasn’t incredible it was very well priced so I have no real complaints especially since the mushrooms were a perfect addition. The primary reason for my review and recommendation is primarily for the impeccable service from Shivam who made sure I was well looked after which was really appreciated, especially given the time! He was very good at talking to everyone and keeping a repertoire with the customers making them feel like family! He was sharing his experiences back home and made you feel as though you were listening to an expert storyteller at work! He brought out complimentary nuts which made me feel so welcomed.

Oliver Barker Great fish restaurant on the royal parade in Chislehurst. Stopped in for lunch on new years day and wasnt disappointed. We had a selection of the small plates and it was great for sharing. The first all tasted extremely fresh and the flavours were great. The menu was not huge which was good too and they had daily specials on. Will be back most definitely!

The curry goat is rich, tender, and full of deep seasoning that tastes like it’s been slow-cooked with care. Served with rice and peas, plus sweet fried plantains, every meal feels hearty and satisfying. What really makes this food cart special is the freshness and speed. Everything is served hot, portions are generous, and the value for money is excellent. The service is friendly and down-to-earth, adding to the overall experience. For a quick, flavour-packed meal on the go, Good Meal’s food cart brings a proper taste of Jamaica right to the streets of Barking Riverside. Definitely one of those local gems you’ll keep coming back to.

Iain L The lunch set menu is a fantastic deal at £10.95 for two courses. Food tasted good, in particular I liked all the sauces. The naan was incredible though, something you could eat on its own which is rare.
