Steven Clarke We chose Mowgli’s for a birthday celebration and made a group booking in advance. When arranging it, I asked if we could have a set banquet, and was told this would include a starter, main dish, rice or bread, and a side order. However, when we arrived and began ordering, we were informed that it was actually a limited menu, which didn’t include many of the popular dishes. I spoke with the manager, who kindly agreed to add chicken tikka masala to the options, but we were then told that the banquet did not include a side dish — despite being told otherwise during the booking. When everyone was seated, poppadoms and sauces were brought to the table without being asked for or informed of any charge. We were later surprised to find a £40 charge for 20 poppadoms and sauces on the bill. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing, and due to the lack of clarity and unexpected charges, I wouldn’t be able to recommend Mowgli’s based on this.

Paul Fisher We visited this venue about five years ago and it remains amongst my all time favourites after 134 michelin stars. We visited today and perfection has been enhanced! Staff were so welcoming and attentive. Almost every aspect has been tweaked to even a higher standard. Each course again stunning presentation AND flavours. Such a story told through tge cards they give you with each course plus the verbal explanation by the chefs. Its hard to identify a favourite, as all were superb. I guess the duck course and the final chocolate dessert are a tiny bit ahead of the others. My only grouch was the missing (this time) the incredible biltong carrot, but superb replacements. A venue that is so focussed upon most ingredients coming from their own estate. Toilets beautiful too. I was sad it didnt get the second star it richly deserves

Bayu Tsegaye Ethiopian Hamer Restaurant Shepherd Goldhawk Road West London exceptional dining experience that beautifully captures the heart and soul of Ethiopian culture. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects traditional Ethiopian hospitality. The décor, music, and overall ambiance create a setting that feels both authentic and comforting. The food is truly outstanding. Each dish is prepared with care, using rich spices and traditional techniques that bring out deep, unforgettable flavors. The injera is fresh, soft, and perfectly balanced, pairing wonderfully with the wide variety of stews and vegetarian options. Whether you choose meat dishes or plant-based selections, every bite feels thoughtfully crafted and deeply satisfying. What truly sets Ethiopian Hamer Restaurant apart is the service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing Ethiopian culture and cuisine. They are happy to explain dishes, make recommendations, and ensure that every guest feels at home. Overall, Ethiopian Hamer Restaurant is a must visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Ethiopian food in a welcoming. Sara Lucchetti Very nice and cosy place in the heart of Brixton. Food is delicious, fresh and home made..and very generous portions for a good price. We had the octopus with vegetables and potatoes and we loved it. A place to know for a quick and tasty lunch or a bite.

Satm jung Love Walk Cafe 81 Denmark Hill Camberwell London SE5 8RS TEL. NO. 020 7703 9898 WEBSITE. MENU – Love Walk Cafe https://share.google/DHHGEjPHabJUdZbfpĺ The coffees are of good quality. The décor and setting are stylised, quirky and comfortable. A wide menu with plenty of choices: breakfasts (Full English, American style pancakes), vegetarian/vegan options, fresh juices. Located in a nice spot in Camberwell, so good for a relaxed brunch or coffee meet-up. Outdoor seating and relaxed atmosphere: useful for groups or catching up. Pricing may be a bit higher than some nearby cafés. If I were recommending it: Go for a brunch or coffee meet-up with friends. The big breakfasts, pancakes and juice menu are strong. If you value photography / atmosphere, this place scores well (quirky décor + good light + outdoor). Try going a little earlier (say around 9-10 am) to avoid peak crowding and to get good seats outdoors (weather permitting). If youre after vegetarian/vegan options, it’s a good bet here. Ideal for a relaxed catch-up, working on a laptop or reading — but perhaps not the fastest service place if you’re in a rush.
