3 /5 Anzelika Lincika: The Jam has a really interesting and unique interior. I genuinely liked the decor and the overall layout — the bunk-bed or layered seating design is something you don’t see very often and makes the experience feel different. It also adds a nice level of privacy, as everyone feels slightly separated at their own table, either above or below. The upper tables even come with storage, which is a thoughtful and comfortable touch.
The restaurant serves Italian food, which we were excited about, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations. The dishes were over-salted and overall not that great. I ordered the carbonara, and as someone who has tried carbonara in many places, this one was easily my least favourite.
Portion sizes are relatively large, which is a plus, and while the prices are on the higher side, they’re probably fairly standard for London.
Overall, it’s an okay place. I really enjoyed the design and layout, but the food was disappointing, so I wouldn’t come back specifically for the food.
