5 /5 Shiv -: Pure joy on a plate – no exaggeration! The food here was one of the highlights of my stay in Oxford. As a vegan it’s so hard getting a decent meal in a casual setting but this place is like an oasis. I was practically salivating watching the person in front of me having their order made. The guy serving (seemed like owner/manager?) was so lovely and let me select a bit of everything. Food was 10/10 for freshness, flavour, nutrition and variety. The pics speak for themselves, and what is shown only cost me £10 odd (including kombucha), which is a steal for sitting in eating such wholesome food. Falafel was also top notch. I got spicy sauce but could’ve tolerated more heat, though didn’t miss anything because the flavours were POW. Overall, if I lived here I’d probably be in this place several times a week. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the chef was also super friendly. Keep up the magic, CHICK PEA. you’ve got something special here.

My first visit was during a rush, so I wasn’t able to try anything. This time, I arrived early, noticed the vegan tagline, and was immediately intrigued. The variety of salts and seasonings caught my attention, and before I even placed my order, I knew I was in for something special. And that first taste confirmed its rich flavor, genuine authenticity, and dishes that engage every sense. I ended up trying several items, each delivering an impressive combination of texture, fragrance, and taste. It’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Chick Pea has officially become my go-to food stop in Oxford. They mentioned they’ll be moving locations soon, which I appreciated a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their customers. Presentation alone earns a solid 10/10, but the flavor elevates the experience to a 12/10. I came in for food and left with a memorable culinary experience.
