2 /5 Jake H: Sadly this was of the poorest roast dinners that I’ve had to date.
The beef was described as being served ‘pink’ yet was served overcooked. The Yorkshire pudding was equally overcooked being tough and dry. The roast potatoes were so undercooked they looked as if they’d been boiled (see image), we did call a waiter over to ask if a mistake had been made and we’d been served boiled potatoes by mistake, they did then bring us replacement roast potatoes which were a little better, but they were still undercooked inside. The cauliflower cheese that we paid extra for was so bland I suspect they may have actually forgotten to add any cheese. The carrots and parsnips were similarly undercooked and were lacking any sort of herb or honey glaze that one would expect such vegetables to be served.
The food was not served particularly hot.
The staff were friendly, but at no point during the meal did any waiting staff come over to ask how the food was.
It was a rather disappointing experience to be honest. A lot of food was left uneaten and we left rather promptly. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
