5 /5 Ai: This was a fantastic find in Leyton and true to the 5* rating that it has on Google! The restaurant often seems empty and quiet but dont let that put you off!
The portions are massive and the taste of the food is also great with some complimentary dishes as well. The server was very friendly and suggested a few dishes for us to try since we were not used to this kind of food.
Between two, we ordered the salmon dish with rice and beef suqaar with pasta, andnan extra side of chapati. First we were given some complimentary banana and a soup which was delicious. This was followed by our mains where the beef and salmon respectively came in one dish with salad and some cooked, flavoured potatoes & onions/carrots, and then the side of pasta & rice came in a whole different big plate altogether so the portions were plentiful.
The mains were both very flavourful and delicious and the sides on their own also had plenty of flavour. The pasta which we liked in particular had a slightly creamy tomato taste which was absolutely delicious on its own. The chapati which was recommended to us was also a bit different to the Indian chapatis wed had before and had a nice, slightly sweet taste. It was warm, slightly flaky and great to scoop up any juices from the plate.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to returning again.
