Scottie The Big Easy is a total gem. Tucked away among the sleek skyscrapers of the Financial District and just a stone’s throw from the Elizabeth Line, this Texas-inspired BBQ smokehouse feels like a wonderful escape from the city’s modern architecture. As someone who smokes my own meats and lives for a good BBQ, I have high standards—and this place did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly juicy, packed with flavour, and hit all the right smoky notes. If you’re thirsty, they’ve got you covered with a massive selection, including their own brew served in impressive steins. I highly recommend checking out their daily and lunchtime specials; the portions are generous and the value is unbeatable. The vibe is rounded out perfectly by live music every night, which adds a great country feel without being over the top. The only thing I’d change? I’d clear a little space for line dancing! Honestly, if I owned a restaurant, it would look exactly like this. I can’t wait to find an excuse to head back.

Zoe Christodoulou Came here the day of the Xmas light switch on so was very busy. The food was lovely, huge portions so make sure you don’t over order. I had a breakfast and the food was very tasty and hot too. Staff are really friendly and the food came really quickly. I went with my family as my Mum loves it so I will be coming back with my husband as he loves a good cafe. Good options for the kids too, my daughter had a burger which she really enjoyed.

Keioni Essex I went to one of their eat along anime nights with my girlfriend. The atmosphere was very wholesome and the theme was cool. I would highly recommend. We watched ponyo for reference :)

The food was lovely with generous portions and served with a smile. It was truly lovely to be amongst friends and family for this special occasion and the location was so warm and welcoming. ALJS Quaint cosy pub set in the heart of Newham. After being a resident for over 30 years decided to venture in and no regrets and will spend more time here soon. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food presentations was good and seating area suited all different needs. Only comment is the lighting in the female washroom needs to be brighter as quite dark and dim in the cubicles. Otherwise now my go to pub.
