3 /5 Ian Swann: Great pub, good atmosphere, sports on which I like. Top notch for a few beers. Food a little less impressive, Ive never had a chicken breastfeeding that over cooked!! If a dish says chicken wrapped in bacon then thats what I expect, not a single slice drapped on top! And vinegar tomatoes would indicate they have been cooked/grilled in some way, not cold uncooked tomatoes? Cant argue with the flavours of the food though, they were all very good.

This unassuming establishment, nestled right in the heart of town, has been a constant through the years. Familiar, comfortable, and refreshingly down-to-earth, it’s the kind of place you don’t need a reservation or a dress code to enjoy. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere unpretentious, and the offerings—particularly their great selection of draught beers and wide range of spirits—speak for themselves. The service? Warm, welcoming, and just attentive enough without being overbearing. It felt more like visiting an old friend’s backyard than dining at a business—and that’s meant in the best way possible. There was no fanfare, no over-the-top presentation, just good drinks, good company, and the kind of setting that reminds you how beautiful simplicity can be. Sometimes, that’s all you really need. A lovely afternoon well spent—and one I’d gladly repeat.

5 /5 Krys McCormack: As a local this is the pub to go to. A great atmosphere and fantastic staff. Millie Leah, Gary, James and the team are friendly and welcoming. Cant fault the food especially the fish goujon sandwich. Come along and find out.
