5 /5 Adam D: I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat here, however, I found this pub to be a lovely quiet place, perfect for thinking time if you need a quiet space. The staff were very friendly, and welcoming. I probably shouldnt be saying this but the barmaid was hot! I certainly will be visiting again soon, and maybe try the food! (I already ate before attending)
5 /5 Manpreet Khaira: We stumbled upon this gem by chance, and the delicious food along with the warm service was a wonderful surprise. With plenty of vegetarian options, I highly recommend it for anyone seeking that cozy, authentic pub vibe. The host Steve was lovely.
5 /5 Carly Thompson: I regularly pass this place on the daily commute, today I had to take a Teams call which meant that I opted to pop in on my way through. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I stepped in, I felt it fair to others enjoying the atmosphere to advise what I needed to do and was provided with a suitable area which was quiet and out of the way of people wanting to eat in peace!
I feel obliged to return because the food looks delicious, it has a huge car park and garden and looks to be welcoming festive bookings. I definitely recommend, its rustic, welcoming even for the doggos!
3 /5 Natasha Taylor: Good was "meh". I ordered a pizza and it was definitely frozen and bought in rather than homemade and was quite pricey for that. My partner had the roast which was too bad but not worth the money either. We found the layout in the pub very odd, we had to get our own menus and I wasnt a fan of dogs walking and shaking through the restaurant to get to the bar. It was raining so water was getting thrown everywhere from the dogs coat. They should be made to sit in the bar area only.
5 /5 Kim PT: We have stopped for chips many times and finally got around to visiting for a lunch. Brilliant all round. Roaring fire, too. If you see the bacon badger on the specials menu, go for it! Pies, burgers, sausages and pizza also delicious!
Rinal Gadhia The food were in small portions however absolutely delicious, very less vegetarian options but its worth trying. Service was really good as well.
A H We go here regularly as it is our local Indian. Service is always quick and staff friendly. Food also very good and we always get given free poppadoms!
Tim Grabham Nice pub, great staff good choice of beers etc. superb breakfast
The room had a very comfy bed
I’ve noticed other comments about room8 I was in room 8 and it’s not great to say the least. Shower has no working temperature adjustment the toilet is very hard to flush the bathroom is mouldy.
I will be coming back however just not to room 8 till the bathroom has had a referb
Good place for a weekend stop over
Max Lincoln Saw it was the only 24/7 place open in the area so went at 1:45 AM- and it was closed with 3 people outside seeing if it was just closed for a little while. Went home- 45 mins later- went back and at 2:45 it was still closed.
Laurie Farrelly I visit Amersham regularly with work & had always wanted to try this pub out.
I ordered the Steak & Caramelised Onion Sandwich. It was a nice Sandwich however my only criticism is that the bread had been shown a toaster. So it wasnt really toasted it was in between. That is the only fault I found. Hence the 4 stars for the food.
The service was great & the man that served me was very polite. The pub itself was immaculate & the outdoor seating area was lovely & well looked after.
Excellent size car park & I will definitely return.
