Phil Chamberlain Had lunch for three and it was a great find. A simple menu that covered all the bases. We had garlic mushrooms in a creamy sauce and chicken liver pate for starters. Very good. Two types of tart and a prawn and tuna chowder (pictured) for the main. Apple pie and tiramisu for pudding. Good portion sizes, full of flavour and fresh. The staff worked hard and there was a cosy atmosphere at this top of the high street location. Highly recommend.

Daniel Lane Pub grub at its flavoursome, big-portioned, piping-hot finest. We had a wander round the stones at Avebury and topped up on some spiritualism, and this was the slap up delicious hot dinner we needed to see off the cold December day. Fire was burning, the pub dog was very welcoming, and the staff were lovely. 100% recommend. It even has a book exchange. Top stuff.

Justin Fryer Lovely little eatery, had a small wait outside as space limited and popular. My lunch choice theyd actually just run out of unfortunately on the customers before us which was a shame but these things happen. My partner loved her French Today with apple, crumble and maple and I equally enjoyed a spicy chicken sandwich, both of us shared and enjoyed some nice crispy fries. Mochas were nice, not too sweet, would have loved a little warmer but enjoyable. Service was good, friendly and reasonably prompt. Lovely old building and prices not cheap but reasonable for the quality.

Pamela Tshabalala I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the spices were balanced just right. What truly made the visit exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Sadek Ahmed. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm hospitality made us feel welcome and valued throughout the meal. If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine paired with top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Holly Hamilton Wow. You know when you eat in a restaurant and are already thinking of who to tell about it before you’ve even gotten out of the door… well this is that. Fantastic food, impeccable quality, but beyond that, (something which made the food taste even better), the service. George is a total credit to the restaurant. His charming manner and professionalism creates an experience rather than meal. It’s hard to find service this fantastic in local restaurants. What a pleasure to come across it. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, everything from the waxed floors to the artwork, so well thought out and intentional. From the attitudes of the staff, whom hold such respect for the restaurant, it is clear that the owner is not only lovely but clearly, more than knows what he is doing. PLEASE visit this place. It is SO worth it and we need to keep local restaurants as fantastic as this alive. Thankyou George and the team. We will be back… and so will our friends !

Amoke Bowman-Boyles Now my grandma is fussy. But she loved this place. The owners are so lovely and friendly and the curry goat is very good! They even have some things I’d never tried before like pumpkin rice (weekends only)! They also have a really nice garden area for sitting outside. Thank you for a great Sunday meal!
