Bamboo House - (Near Harrow, South East)

3 /5 Tina Agarwal: Visited Bamboo House in Drysdale recently and tried a few chicken dishes, including chicken biryani, chicken tikka, and chicken bhuna masala. The naan was good and probably the best part of the meal. The chicken bhuna masala was okay, mainly because of the gravy, though the chicken itself felt a bit chewy. Unfortunately, the chicken biryani and chicken tikka didn’t work for us. The biryani felt more like fried rice with curry rather than a traditional biryani, and the chicken pieces were quite hard and lacked flavour. The tikka was similar chewy and not very enjoyable. This review is purely based on my personal experience and taste preference. There is definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of meat quality and overall flavour.

3 /5 Siddhesh Parab: Hi had order the food via uber eats the order was received on time and food was ok but not to the mark however the uber details mentioned clear Mutton Bhakri- Bajra rotla 2, cut onions and lemon . The order delivered was having only 1 rotla, missing onions and lemon which can be understood . When called the restaurant the lady on the call was not at helpful , said my mistake I should have mentioned 2 rotla when placing my order and deny saying the uber details doesn’t show 2 rotlas. I requested her to check app she denied app showing the details as mentioned on call and when asked for email to share the screenshot from Uber eats she disconnected call .Not at all appreciated Other item ordered we’re Shira which is tasteless and poha is filled with Sev which could have been provide separately I have attached the screenshot with details below which say 2 rotla clearly on uber eats

1 /5 Shlok Patel: We had a horrible experience with our recent order from Bamboo House. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, but the gravy was completely tasteless and very disappointing. The dish lacked the flavor and quality we expected. What made the situation worse was the customer service. When I called the restaurant to raise a complaint, a staff member named “Diksha” answered the call and abruptly cut it off without addressing the issue. This was extremely unprofessional and frustrating. Overall, the food quality and the way our concern was handled were both unacceptable. I hope the management looks into this and improves both the food and customer service so other customers don’t have to go through the same experience.

4 /5 Claire Mendonca-Yeboah: An unassuming restaurant on the main road. We went in as a family of 4 without a booking at about 6.30pm on Valentines Day and they were able to accommodate us straight away. We shared butter chicken curry, goat curry and lamb vindaloo, pilau rice, keema naan, tandoori roti and butter naan. The food was absolutely delicious and we pretty much finished everything we ordered. The tandoori roti was too crispy for our liking (the only slight criticism - the children and I prefer it much more soft and fluffy). Staff are attentive, service is reasonably quick and the restaurant itself is decorated in keeping with its name. It was very quiet when we went in for about the first 30mins as there were no other guests and the restaurant doesnt play any music but it soon picked up post 7pm. We will definitely go again as the food was really good.

3 /5 Nilesh Deshpande: This is not the first time we been to Bamboo House. But off lately it had been a constant experience hence why I thought to share here. Generally the service & food are absolutely fantastic and ambience too. But there is a Caveat to this! If you visit here on any Friday or Saturday evening, its a nightmare, unfortunately. In a small size of around 500sqft, its a gas chamber filled with fumes n sizzlers and what not! Well the concern is not that! Generally on mentioned evenings, its observed that a usual group of around 20-25men are booked for the whole one side of the space leaving only 3-4 family tables left. The group of men is generally there for 4-5 hours with drinks, LOUD volumes, jokes and disturbing NOISES.. While I completely understand its good for business, I also feel, Bamboo House, as a courtesy, should not take family bookings on that evening OR keep a cap of 2-3 hours for any table, its simple to implement! Suggestion here is to not to spoil the mood of delicious food that you offer, you should control the ambiance too! Overall otherwise, I always love & enjoy the food and the quantity of it!
