A huge, heartfelt shout-out to Giuseppe, who looked after myself and my mum as we celebrated her birthday. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care turned a wonderful meal into something truly magical. He went above and beyond to make the occasion unforgettable, and it meant the world to us. Eletta Mamma mia! Da Mario made me feel like I’d stepped straight into Italy. The staff and cooks are authentically Italian, and their warmth and charm set the tone for a meal that was pure magic. The lasagna was layered bliss. The chicken; cutlet style, crisp and tender, was comfort incarnate. The arrabbiata had a creamy but fiery kiss, and the espresso? Bold, velvety, and soul-awakening. Each dish was a food orgasm in its own right. Even the bathroom cleanliness was next level; every detail cared for with pride. Friendly, passionate, and deliciously divine, Da Mario didn’t just feed me; it transported me. I’ll be dreaming of it for days. Complimenti a tutti!

Sofi S Double cheese burger and double white truffle burger with fries with bacon and cheddar. Super!! You have to order and then wait “outside” that is inside the apple market for your order. There is a reserved space to Shake Shack with tables both inside the market and outside (street part)

Leicester Eats & Sips The Punch and Judy pub in Covent Garden is a real hidden gem with so much history behind it. The pub is named after the famous Punch and Judy shows, which have long been part of Covent Garden’s cultural heritage, and you can really feel that sense of history when you are there. It is part of the Greene King chain, but it does not feel generic at all. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially for such a central London location, and the food looks absolutely delicious. There is also a great selection of beers on offer. One of the highlights is the balcony seating where you can sit, relax and watch the entertainment and atmosphere of Covent Garden below. There is not a huge amount of space on the balcony, but that just adds to its charm. It really feels like a place you would miss unless you know where to look, as it is slightly tucked away and easy to walk past. A brilliant little addition to Covent Garden, especially in the summer, with character, history and good value for money.
