What Clients Are Saying Brother Marcus South Kensington (GG)
5 /5 nuric: Really nice eastern Mediterranean café serving drinks, brunch and light plates. The food was tasty with a mix of eastern dishes such as fritters as well as a traditional full breakfast. They have a range of drinks from cocktails to coffee. When its busy it can get really loud and the tables are spaced tightly. Overall the service was good and in time. Im giving 5 stars as a brunch and coffee experience.
5 /5 ABDULLAH HUSSAIN: I visited Brother Marcus for breakfast and the experience was consistently strong across food, service, and atmosphere. We ordered the Smoky Shakshoukah and the Sweet Potato Fritter; both dishes were well-prepared and had a balanced flavor profile. Federico, our server, offered a recommendation that matched exactly what we were looking for and contributed positively to the overall visit. The place has a lively atmosphere, and the entire staff maintained attentive and efficient service throughout.
5 /5 Chloe: I came here for lunch by myself and it was absolutely amazing. I was looking around for a nice spot and I noticed the high rating, thought it looked nice, and decided to walk in. I’m so glad I did.
It’s an Eastern-style restaurant and the food is incredible. I ordered the sausage and it did not disappoint at all. They even had a freddo espresso, which I’ve really missed since coming home from my year abroad in Athens. Such a nice surprise.
The waiters were also very kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

My family and I visited this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. Everything stood out, from the food to the service and the atmosphere. We started with the Rip and Dip Platter. The bread was incredibly soft and fluffy, and the sauces were packed with flavour and nicely balanced. For drinks we had soda, a Greek Paloma, and both red and white wine.
Overall the dishes were full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared. We shared Pan Fried Halloumi and Potato Chips with feta cheese, which I found surprisingly interesting. The Prawn Bisque Striftoudi Pasta was not flavourful enough for my taste and felt a bit bland, though still enjoyable. We also ordered one serving of the Roasted Chicken. The chicken was so juicy and delicious that we ended up ordering another one at the end of the meal.
That said, the real star of the night was the Pan Seared Bream. The fish was incredibly fresh and juicy and paired beautifully with the gremolata.
5 /5 Adam Sinclair: Outstanding Mediterranean food and drink in a cozy venue.
The Freddie cappuccino was authentic and the flatbread were the best Ive tasted and weve recently come back from Greece.
Price feels very reasonable for London.
13.5% "discretionary tip" feels a bit higher than the standard but fortunately the quality of food ensured this didnt sour the experience
Jennifer Rhoads I told my husband, “This is so delicious, I’m almost upset.” I don’t even know what that means, but the food is amazing. The grilled halloumi is such perfect texture—I think it’s the best I’ve ever had. The vibe is comfortable, cozy, and so welcoming. The people and service are wonderful. Incredibly aware and engaging. Book a table and don’t miss this place!
Daniel Gee Walked by, and stopped thanks to the beautiful display of colourful paninis and sandwiches.
Very glad to have stopped.
Kind, efficient service.
Decent coffee.
And the sandwiches and paninis tasted as good as they looked.
Must better than the generic high street brands.
Ahmed Alrowaili Beyond delicious authentic food. Everything was literally delicious and I will be back to try more. The curry hummus with lamb is outstanding along with the egg and cheese paratha. The place is packed in the morning but line was fast. The atmosphere for me personally was not a favorite because I do not like loud music and dancing in the morning which happened in one phase and not the whole time
Hope £1 oysters on Saturday, what more could you ask for. Large oysters, good complementary sauce, lemon, Tabasco. Drinks a little on the spenny, as are chips (£6!!), soda bread, croquettes, all good. Crab linguine good but not a big portion. We came for my birthday and they gave me a little birthday truffle dessert which was cute. Atmosphere is nice. Service friendly.
Campano Kari (MXWL) I was told to eat the curry in London, so tonight I set out to find an Indian restaurant in South Kensington. I was lucky enough to find Khans of Kensington and it was WONDERFUL. From the service to the food, I couldnt have asked for better. They had all my favorite dishes and so much more. Definitely recommed!
