Brother Marcus Spitalfields - (Near Tower Hamlets, South East)

5 /5 Paul Hooper: Brother Marcus has been on my list forever, and it didnt disappoint. Mediterranean food done right. Everything felt vibrant, comforting, and clearly made for sharing. The roasted beetroot houmous with warm pita was a great way to start, the prawn bisque pasta was rich and really satisfying, and the bream was cooked beautifully. The kofta and roasted chicken were both full of flavour, but special mention has to go to the whipped feta served with the salad.. honestly godly and very addictive. A great spot for a relaxed catch-up with friends. Would happily come back.

5 /5 Phoebe Mecalis: It was a lovely experience that I got to share with my friends for dinner time. The food arrived at different stages because of its cooking time, but we were explained how the restaurant operates before ordering. The menu is quite simple and comprehensive, designed for sharing, as the plates were small to medium range. The staff was very attentive, and helped us clarify any issues. An area of improvement would’ve been pricing perhaps – although the food was really tasty, if we had not booked via First Table app, it may have been a touch over priced for what you’re getting. Nevertheless, it was a very delightful experience and I’ll be happy to return soon.

4 /5 Pavan Mason: Brother Marcus Spitalfields is located right in the heart of Spitalfields, making it a great spot for breakfast with friends. We visited as a group of around 5–8 people for breakfast. The food was generally good — the potato fritters were especially nice and definitely the standout dish. However, the portion sizes, particularly for the english breakfast dishes, could have been a bit more generous. A few of the poached eggs were also overcooked, with the bacon over cooked which was a little disappointing. The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. That said, the restaurant was very busy, and it felt like the team was stretched a bit too thin at times - leaving us waiting a while to order and pay the bill etc. Overall, good food in a great location, with lovely staff. With slightly larger portions and more consistency in execution, it could be even better!
