5 /5 Claudio Weeraratne: Beautiful local gem. Place is very pretty, friendly and knowledgeable service, bold and exciting flavours. It can be slow but worth the wait. I loved the cheesecake, the egusi, moi moi and banga prawns.

5 /5 Olivia L: Lovely meal at Chuku’s! The atmosphere is very chill and makes it easy to enjoy whilst still having a conversation. The cocktails and food were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Egusi Bowl, the Banga Prawns and the Chicken Ata Din Din (if you like a bit of spice). Looking forward to coming back soon!

3 /5 Muna: The ambience was quite nice for a Friday evening. We were attended to pretty quickly. The okra was an interesting concept (my date thinks it should be charged for free hahah, in the spirit of tapas) we thought the fried yam was perfection, the egusi was good with very fluffy and hot poundo. I would recommend it as an introduction to someone who never had African food before.

5 /5 Alastair Leverton: add they treated us so nicely including singing happy birthday Chuku’s is such a gem – one of the few places in London where a mixed group can feast and vegans still feel completely spoiled for choice. As a vegan, I left properly full, excited about the food and already planning the next visit. We ordered a spread of small plates and were really impressed by how many of them were clearly marked vegan and felt like “headline” dishes rather than an afterthought. The jollof rice and plantain were beautifully seasoned and comforting, the moi moi was silky and rich, and the plantain crisps and sweet okra were perfect for snacking and sharing. The plantain waffle at the end was a standout – just sweet enough, with great texture, and one of those desserts you keep picking at even when you swear you’re done. Service throughout the evening was warm, personal and attentive. The team took time to explain the dishes, check for dietary needs and offer recommendations, which made it really easy to try new things confidently as vegans. They even came over to sing happy birthday and make a bit of a fuss, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel extra special. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from somewhere built around “chop, chat, chill”: lively but not loud, with a welcoming crowd, good music and a space that works just as well for catching up with friends as it would for a date night. It feels proudly rooted in Tottenham but absolutely destination‑worthy. Overall, Chuku’s is a must‑visit if you want bold, modern Nigerian flavours and genuinely exciting vegan options in a friendly, relaxed setting. Five stars for food, service and atmosphere – highly recommend!
