4 /5 Farokh Shahabi: Very chick pub with great atmosphere. They specialize in French dishes more than anything else. The beer was on OK, I expected more especially as it’s on the high side of price point. The fish and chips was only OK as well, a little bit bland, but the venison and rabbit pie was much better. They had a special clam which was super delicious with a super creamy sauce. Overall if you like French dishes and nice atmosphere, this is a good place to be.

5 /5 Lee sara: Had a lovely lunch on a cold February day trip to Greenwich. A short stroll along the Thames path a charming old pub. Table of 6 part of a celebration trip for mums 80th, staff were friendly and helpful, food was tasty and good portions, lots of choice and great wine list. Would definitely recommend for a visit!

2 /5 Kai: The pubs setting is impressive. I visited for a Sunday roast with my family and was disappointed, feeling as if I had been ripped off. The quality of the food was exceptionally poor. It was so disappointing that I felt it necessary to write a review and let others know. As others have pointed out, this is certainly an instance of charging as much as possible for minimal quality, especially given that you are paying over £20 for a Sunday roast. The chicken was not only dry, and there was hardly anything remaining after three/four mouthfuls. The vegetarian option was dry and rock hard. Providing you with an oversized, overcooked Yorkshire pudding does not disguise the serious issue of shrinkflation -Please make your own judgment based on the pictures. The service was quite slow and sluggish, except for the nice location. We do not intend to return or recommend this place, as we were charged more than £130 for lunch with soft drinks.

5 /5 Tim Soler: Ohh.. EXCEPTIONAL. The quintessential English dining experience! Feels like being inside an old war ship downstairs, while upstairs takes you to a typically British setting, with a view of the Thames! Everything we had was top class - black pudding scotch eggs, mulled wine, chicken & ham hock pie, white bait. And the waiters are so sweet too!

The menu offering very well balanced for all, especially with our delicious Oysters, and an indulgence of other fabulous dishes. Congratulations to Alex & team for keeping this gem of a place as it is. We’ll be back soon.
