Duck & Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant - (Near Berkshire, South East)

2 /5 Bryant C: fried rice was really delicious, and so was the prawn dumplings! was initially going to give a 4 or 5 star for the food but when we got the bill we realised we were charged 2£ for a small bit of chilli oil? (not mentioned on the menu, also not communicated to us when we asked for it) kind of ridiculous in this economy……. in authentic chinese restaurants chilli oil is a given with dim sum… i’m surprised they didn’t charge me for using the toilet or getting a glass of water…. next time i hope the staff could be a bit more honest with their customers addendum: the audacity to reply in mandarin so that people can’t understand? you offered to substitute one of the dumplings for us and YET you charged us 10.80£. we didn’t make a fuss about that, you charged us more for the food too! what a joke! i’ve change my rating to 1 star for service and attitude. also there was no service at all, i wouldn’t have expected to pay service charge to begin with….

5 /5 Parisa Ahmadian: The hot and sour vegetable soup was great - perfect amount of heat. The vegetable dumplings and fried udon and veggies were also delicious. Really good vegetarian options in general. And the service was lovely, very kind and attentive.

5 /5 Courtney Dasher: My family and I had dinner at Duck & Dim Sum right before Christmas and every dish was delicious! We have gotten take out from here several times before but have never dined in the restaurant. Our favourite "go to" dishes are the crispy duck (so so good!), the steam prawn dumplings (also amazing!), and the sichuan beef (incredible) but this time we also ordered stir fried king prawn with asparagus (my personal favourite of the night- it was light but filling), stir fried sugar snap peas, beef in a black bean sauce, and Singapore fried rice noodles, plus some other dishes per the owners recommendation. They are a sweet husband and wife duo who were both there that evening and are so lovely! Our server, Dillon, was very knowledgable of the menu (found out hes been working there since they opened) and was overall such a gem. He was also so kind and attentive with our children which we really appreciated. The food came out promptly, every dish was so tasty, and the service was A++! Theyre located off Victoria street in downtown Windsor, so if you live local, I highly advise eating there if you want authentic Chinese food whether you want take-away (they deliver!) or want to dine in. 5 /5 Sam Harding: We had a lovely weekend lunch at Duck and Dim Sum. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable, and the kids loved watching the fish in the tank! We would definitely recommend the crispy duck pancakes (so much duck!), prawn toast and prawn dumplings- although we enjoyed all the food. The portions were very generous and we were even given some egg custard buns (free of charge) which were surprisingly delicious - the kids especially loved them! The owner was very kind and attentive, ensuring the kids had child friendly plates and giving us numerous fortune cookies, plus some extra to take home with us. Overall, a really lovely, small family-run restaurant with tasty food and great customer service. Wed love to try more of the dim sum on offer next time! Thank you!

1 /5 S J: (New Edit In response to Restaurant) Found the food to be overpriced for what it was and terribly bland. Not appetising for the main dishes we ordered. I find Chinese places in these towns to be rather poor because they have no competition and are catering mainly to a Caucasian audience who don’t really know what the flavours should be like. Bland. The restaurant was relatively quiet and I asked for a fried egg which was rejected by the kitchen for some random excuse of being busy. It was empty… The chef should learn to accommodate such a simple request. It’s not acceptable in 2025. Esp if the bill is hitting £70+ for rather average Chinese food. Edit. So what you’re implying is I just made it up? You say we don’t use tablecloths when your very first picture and others attached show tablecloths. Those are your plates right? And your cutlery? What an odd thing to claim and in mandarin? Why? I am an English speaker. I took nice images to review what I thought would be a nice meal. When it turned out to be bland and my preferences weren’t accommodated for what is a £70 meal I still reviewed to let others know of my honest experience. I think after that response you’re lucky you received one star. Seeing as though you believe I am faking it I will attach the photos with the dates and times attached. Maybe you’re a bad owner who can’t take critique. You might blithely be unaware of that fact that I am a level 6 reviewer. Not only that, I was recently told by Google that I am in the top 10% of food reviewers because my reviews so far have had over 1.8 million views.
