LUSH & HUSH -

Rina L. Found this elegant little spot in Notting Hill Visited for dinner and ordered the lobster pasta, grilled John Dory and grilled stuffed poussin. The lobster pasta was rich but well balanced generous lobster, properly seasoned, not overly creamy. Portion size fair for the price point. John Dory was cooked accurately with crispy skin and delicate flesh. Fresh and clean flavours. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere is intimate, slightly romantic, good for date night or small group dinners.

George Chalhoub Great Lebanese food in Cowley. Fresh mezze, really good grilled meats, and proper flavours that actually taste like home. The mixed grill was solid and the hummus was smooth and well seasoned. Portions are generous and the staff are friendly without being over the top. Definitely one of the better spots for Lebanese food in Oxford

Doug C Thank you to the lovely M&S staff member who sorted out my returns parcel when I had messed up the paperwork and the packaging! Your help was so much appreciated. I’ll know what to do next time.

Alyce King Incredible Sunday Lunch ! You MUST book for Sunday lunch (as walk in spaces rare). Two sittings, arrivals 12-1230pm and 2-230pm I believe. Great use of space for tables. Wheelchair accessible in one part of the restaurant (near back door), but when busy cant get to the toilet. Staff couldnt have been any more welcoming and helpful. Great atmosphere, background music level just right (sat under a speaker). The main issue is parking; the car park is not big enough if the pub is full - eg at Sunday lunchtime. Especially difficult if you are a blue badge holder and need to park close by. Low level lighting so low vision may struggle on certain tables.

JusThai Restaurant & Cocktail Bar Reigate - Surrey

Rating: 5 /5
Deborah Bynre It’s great to see Thai food back on form in Reigate with the reopening of JusThai, formerly known as Thai Taste. The previous restaurant was sorely missed locally, so I was eager to try a takeaway and see if the magic was still there , I’m happy to say it absolutely is. I started with the duck spring rolls, which were excellent. The filling was rich and juicy with plenty of flavour, wrapped in a crisp shell that had clearly been cooked fresh rather than sitting around waiting to be reheated. For the main, I chose chicken chilli basil with steamed rice. I asked if the kitchen could prepare the chicken in the traditional Thai street-food style , finely chopped and add extra chilli and they were more than happy to accommodate. This attention to authenticity really paid off. The dish had a wonderful balance of heat, savoury depth, and fragrant basil, delivering that unmistakable Thai street-food character. The steamed rice was also perfectly cooked, light, fluffy, and distinct grain by grain, which is often overlooked but makes all the difference. Even as a takeaway, the food was still piping hot by the time I got home, which speaks to the care in preparation and packaging. If this meal is anything to go by, JusThai is a very welcome return to the Reigate food scene and one I’m very happy to see back.
