5 /5 Alex W: We try lots of different sushi spots and this is now high on the list. Great food, a solid atmosphere, and we had good service. Our service graciously moved us to another table to avoid a loud party as well. He also gave some great recommendations and spoke with the chef to relay some details about a few of the dishes and specific flavors. Well definitely be back, and its nice that its not in the city.

5 /5 Ramesh: Went in and was warmly greeted by the team. Theres a drinks bar and a nice seating area at the back with quirky interiors, interesting wall art, cushions and cherry blossoms above! Food was delicious, My noodle based dish had just the right amount of seasoning, salt and cooking time was perfect. Mushrooms, vegetables and noodles were perfect. I cook noodles based dishes frequently. This was created by a very experienced chef. I regret not venturing in sooner! Arigatō Kibou Battersea :-)

5 /5 Amanda Lee: I recommend Chirashi Don, because sometimes you want sashimi with a little rice, and for me it feels more balanced than rolls. I love the shiso leaf, it’s a traditional medicinal flavour, and I like that the ginger is yellow. Less dyes. Staff are quick and it’s a busy spot so best book your reservation!

3 /5 Isabella Pepe: On Friday night, my partner and I visited Kibou for a treat after a long week. We’ve been a few times before and have always loved the food, ambience, and overall experience. Once again, the food did not disappoint, especially the aubergine dishes we always enjoy. Everything we ordered was delicious. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience let the evening down. When ordering, we made it very clear to our waitress that we were sharing starters but having separate mains due to an allergy. She repeated this back to us, so we felt confident it was understood. However, my main arrived around 20 minutes before my partner’s, meaning we had to eat separately. When we asked for an update, we were simply told there was a delay on the Dragon Rolls, but we weren’t given any sense of timing and no apology was offered. We had started the evening with cocktails and then ordered a bottle of wine to enjoy with our starters. Our empty cocktail glasses were cleared soon after ordering the wine, so we assumed it would arrive shortly. After waiting through our starters and some time after, we asked where the wine was, only to be told it was “in the fridge,” which left us confused, as we had clearly intended to have it with our food. We did pay the service charge and didn’t raise these points at the time, but we hope this review reaches the staff and management, as we would love to see the experience improved. We will visit again, we just hope our next visit will be smoother.
