1 /5 Nadia: We came to the Kings Arms hotel to celebrate a birthday with a meal. There were 8 of us. Everything started off well - warm greeting and seated immediately. Our waiter was lovely. We ordered our food, waited then were told some of the food was not available. We re-ordered and were served after abit of a wait. The food quality was awful, 5 of the 8 of us did not finish our dish. I have eaten here before but this time it was well below par and unsatisfactory.
As it was a celebration we decided to have dessert. We placed our orders, waited and then were told that we couldnt have dessert as the chef had decided to go home!! This was at 21.20pm. The restaurant was supposed to close at 10pm.
There was a lovely elderly man sat next to us whose experience was the same. I believe he ended up with a cheese sandwich after sending his burger back 3 times.
It was an awful experience, especially considering it was for a birthday.
The only saving grace was the wonderful waiter. The tip we left him reflected his service.
I made the choice to leave this public review as I emailed you directly but nobody bothered to respond.
May I suggest that you notify customers which food items are unavailable and that your chef ensures that all customers are fed before clocking off!
