Moana Poke Bowls - (Near Hillingdon, South East)

Anam I have been a number of times since they’ve opened - and every single time I have had a Riyaan as my server I have had the best service! She is friendly and informative about the menu, happy to recommend and make suggestions, fast with responses and alert and attentive! And the epitome of service with a smile! The food is USUALLY delicious but when they’re busy can be a hit or miss or you end up waiting almost an hour for it. As one of the few dine in halal restaurants in Uxbridge high street - it is the best from the bunch so I can only pray this review helps them improve where they are lacking. The atmosphere is a vibe, warm and inviting. Great for a date night, family meal, or friends gathering. It’s not too loud or too quiet but you are seated close enough to people to hear their conversations if yours gets stale (not a problem I face). A family with a pram struggled to get through to their table and I had to stand in the middle of my meal to allow them to pass. (I am average sized in case you’re wondering) My take on our dishes; Plantain - love, hot and fresh, always good on the side. They do change the way the cut it everytime I go but who’s paying attention? Knockout box - delicious with a kick - had the wild herb flavour, would suggest with sides or starters for a full meal. All at steak - more chewy than anticipated, won’t be ordering this again. Halloumi fries - hot, fresh, tasty. More please! Lady fingers - ….. a bit torn as I usually LOVE theirs but last night the batter was chunkier than usual and they lacked salt and were basic but 4/5 times they’ve been finger licking - I’ll try again because they’re worth it! Previous dishes tried; We’ll have it all - and we did ! Licked our fingers clean kind of good! Afrikana salad - I don’t think the flavours complimented each other - and there is no other main salad, definitely need more greens on their menu! Chit chats and chicken - all delicious, comfortably a 4/5 person portion. Steak it on me - not a fan, feel their meat has too much fat for my liking. Afrikana fries - yes please! Jollof rice - definitely having it!

Jing Shyang Yeow Superb Indian food. Having returned from Delhi 2 months ago this place really brought back great food memories from that trip. The North Indian cuisine is on point and nicely authentic. The naan in particular is proper nice thin flatbread rather than the terrible supermarket heavy type naans served in many an Indian restaurant. The flavours and sauces sublime. Will definitely look forward to trip back here again. It’s not a very large restaurant so best to book ahead.

Encrypted Studios Great bar worked as security here very nice staff and customers are nice and polite too.

R SHOUT TO KOKO! I ordered a very last minute deliveroo order and KoKo called up to say they ran out of some chicken but she was sooo amazing on the phone and her customer service was literally 5 stars! She made up the missing chicken and the food was ten ten. Thank you Uxbridge Nando’s and KoKo who was honestly very helpful and top service!

Shipra Suman Gemini said Shree Krishna Vada Pav (SKVP) in Uxbridge is a fantastic spot for a quick and authentic taste of Mumbai street food right on the High Street. The atmosphere is vibrant and casual, perfect for a fast, flavorful vegetarian meal. You absolutely must try the Iconic Vada Pav and the Masala Tea, which are a perfect pairing, along with their amazing Parathas that are both rich and satisfying. PARKING: While there is no on-site parking, the Pavilions and The Chimes (Intu) car parks are both just a short walk away. TOILETS: Clean customer toilet facilities are available on-site. ACCESSIBILITY: The entrance is level and easy to access from the pavement, though the indoor seating is quite compact, which may be a bit tight during the busy lunch rush.

Sergeant Pepper I have had a few good meals in the Four Feathers restaurant in Iver, so I thought I’d try the Four Feathers takeaway as it’s fairly local to me. Everything about the food was delicious, certainly one of the best takeaway Indian meals I’ve had in a long time. I even had some left over for the following day’s lunch. My only issue with the Four Feathers takeaway is the kerb appeal. It is not at all inviting and would really benefit from changing the frontage from the previous tired old Chilli takeaway to a more modern shopfront which will turn people’s heads as they drive past. But the food cannot be faulted. I think I’ve found my Go to takeaway. Fast forward to a fortnight ago and I’ve discovered another problem. I had been driving all day and it was my plan to stop at the FF and pick up my dinner. As I slowed down outside the takeaway, I noticed that there was nowhere to stop and park while I went inside to order. I looked all around but to no avail. Regrettably, I was forced to go to their closest rivals and order from there.
