4 /5 vivian yip: We had dinner at Monmouth Kitchen and really enjoyed the vibe — the atmosphere is stylish and lively, and we definitely had a great time. The beef short rib was very tender and tasty, though slightly on the sweet side. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, especially the scallops. However, it seemed they were finished with a butane blow torch for browning; while it looked great, there was a noticeable gas flavour that came through. A simple butter pan-fry might have been more flavourful.
The pasta sauce was good, though the portion was on the smaller side. For dessert, we tried the brownie with cream and the crème brûlée — both were decent. Overall, the environment and atmosphere are excellent, and the food presentation is fantastic, even if some dishes could be refined in flavour.
