Aimée Chalmers We had a wonderful family meal here on Sunday. A lovely young waiter (his name begins with N but I’ve foolishly forgotten the rest - apologies!) looked after us really well. It was very relaxed and we felt unhurried. The food was delicious, and they have plenty of options depending on whether you prefer spicy or milder dishes. I had the Kathmandu chicken which was fantastic, and the naan bread was absolutely perfect. Onion pakora and fried courgettes also got a big thumbs-up from our group. The portions were a generous size and the set menu was great value, with brilliant coffees to finish. We also tried some Rioja from the wine list, which we really enjoyed, and they cater well for non-drinkers with non-alcoholic beers. We will be back again soon, thank you Ghurka Kitchen!

Rojah Guntripp When here two weeks ago. It is a nice and quiet cafe. I had a soup of the day, it was a perfect harmony of: taste, texture, temperture and portion. I highly recommend this cafe as it is definitely worth its value for money.

Alex MacKeith One of the best Pizza Expresses out there. The manager, Tich, is a model of hospitality, with an easygoing and witty manner. The waiting team are attentive and conscientious, while the chefs always deliver to the highest standard. Highly recommend this branch.

lucy hillman We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday, with 14 friends, at Crispin recently and we had a really wonderful time! I would highly recommend the restaurant! Darcie was really helpful and responsive when we were planning our special lunch and when we arrived we received such a warm welcome from Peter and the team. The service was amazing, and everyone felt very well taken care of in a lovely, relaxed and friendly environment. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, and plentiful and we all loved being able to share the dishes so that we could try lots of different plates. Overall Im really grateful to the Crispin team for making it such a lovely, memorable occasion for us. Thank you!
falafel & shawarma london

Falafel & Shawarma London - Southwark

Rimon Ahmed Back in August a work colleague said one lunchtime "boys let me take you to a place for some good lunch for the price of a meal deal". So we went to Falafel & Shawarma! It is a nice spacious simple looking shop, queue up on the right to order, then move over to the left to pay for and pickup up your order. There is long sitting wall benches on either side of the shop where you can sit in and eat, but when the shop is busy you will be sitting along side both queues. The staff were very friendly and professional. The gentleman who takes your order is always lively and having a laugh with customers as hes taking the orders and preparing the orders. Theyre always giving out samples of their side food items especially their roasted spice potatoes which are really nice. We each ordered their chicken shawarma wrap and their own made lemonade drink. The chicken filling tasted really good had that nice spiced marinated tase and the meat came out soft. They top the filling with a choice of garlic and/or chilli sauce which isnt all that spicy in all honesty but does give that nice taste to it all. The lemonade nicely compliments the chicken shawarma. We went again yesterday and this time I ordered their falafel wrap and that was equally as good! Also this time I ordered a portion of their 4 lamb sambusaks, which is like Indian samosas but made without the Indian spices. I liked them (being a bengali person) as they had the natural cooked lamb taste and had a slight taste of some cooking spices. For £4.50 the shawarma wraps they serve up interms of taste and how big it is, I have seen other places charge around £9! The side items like the Sambusak was £2.50 and again worth the price! Highly recommended place to go for lunch, you wont be disappointed!!
