Royal Oak Pub & Guesthouse - (Near Redbridge, South East)

5 /5 Ruth Ibemesim: Nice place. I enjoyed staying here. Location is great and quiet and they do have a well attended pub downstairs (though I didn’t make use of it for dinner). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome, especially during breakfast when I had a couple of questions. The continental breakfast had a good selection of fruits, pastries and teas/coffee. Will not hesitate to book again.

1 /5 C.A: I can’t rate the rooms because I didn’t stay in one but I was taken out for a new years dinner we was really looking forward to Today was the Worst experience ever in my life eating out I will never be going back there to that pub I Was served by a lady with short blond hair I think she was the manager her name was Rhonda We had a reservation booked at 8pm but there was no way off reserving a table at the time off booking to cut a long story short when we arrived we was sat at an empty table and we was told we was at the wrong table I asked the lady with short blond hair if we could move as I felt uncomfortable at the table me and my partner was moved to. I asked a simple request if we could move back to the original table. I was told that it was reserved but the strange thing is that there was no way off reserving a table number so that was a lie. I told her if I can’t be seated in a comfortable area I was happy to leave. She then said she was happy for us to move back to the original table. When the starter came she slammed the plate down on the table She later came back and kicked my chair that I was sat on. There was no eye contact her she made me feel so uncomfortable I didn’t trust eating the food because you just never know. All in all this was ment to be a nice night out but she Rhonda ruined it and it’ was a waste off money £150 down the drain as I didn’t feel comfortable eating the food because Rhonda kept staring at me from the bar. Me and my partners night was ruined because off Rhonda Thank you very much Rhonda for making me feel welcomed.

5 /5 Abbi Adair: Great find and competitively priced for London. Rooms a little snug, but perfect for a bed and a shower. The pub itself serves great food, staff in the morning are much friendlier than the bar staff. Continental breakfast was fab! Car park out the back too. Only a 10 minute walk from the station, a large Tesco close by if you’ve forgotten anything (the Nisa is much more expensive), and take aways close by if needed. I’ll defo consider staying again! Edit: here’s a lesson; I must learn not to write a review until we leave. Our last day was a Saturday; when they serve a cooked breakfast - full English or Vegi breakfast. Two of four came out after 25 minutes, and mine was the wrong order. The remaining two came out after 45 minutes. That’s just not acceptable for a breakfast order, so I wouldn’t suggest the service is good nor would we recommend staying here.

Just can’t believe how bad our meals were… this place / owners have either no clue about fresh quality products or just don’t care enough and serving low quality and charging locals through the nose…. I would love the chef to eat this garbage and tell us it’s delicious and worth £25 each… madness….We didn’t eat the four meals and left depressed never to return!

5 /5 shayne bellas: Lovely pub. Pricey but nice ambience. Bar staff don’t listen. 3 times we ordered with no ice and 3 times we got ice! When you’re co paying these prices you want more mixer for your money.
