SAAG - (Near Brent, South East)

5 /5 Ahmed Deedat: I came on the 13th February 2026. During lunch time around 13:00PM I was by myself and just wanted to eat something homeish vibe food. I was greeted at the door by Harry, he was cleaning at the time and I felt like I was interrupting him, but he had a big smile on his face and reassured me, I wasn’t. (I still felt bad) He sat me down on a table for 1 and passed me the menu. He came by 2 minutes later asking if I’m ready and I said yes. I ordered the chicken biryani box. (£5) Harry was very nice and polite throughout the whole interaction and kept an eye on me. The wait was very good, only around 5-6 minutes. The food now, the biryani was very unique I had a good 6-7 pieces in the bowl. The texture of the rice was soft and the ingredients they had used, you can smell and taste that it was fresh. I honestly enjoyed the food a lot. Would definitely come back here with family and friends to try more dishes. Oh and also they had really good Asian Bollywood instrumental calm music in the background to set the atmosphere.

5 /5 Sarah Charles: This new Indian restaurant in Colindale is incredible. The food was top-tier, without hurting the wallet. Truly great value. The service was really quick and the server was very kind. Food came out pretty quickly after we ordered, too. My partner had the lamb biryani (medium), and I had the name-sake saag paneer (spicy). My dad had the rogan gosht (mild) and my mum the butter chicken (medium). We also ordered a vegetable kulahpuri (medium) to share for the table. All of us were so happy with our meals we gave our compliments to the chef! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to try a new Indian restaurant. My family and I came in the time between Christmas and New Years, and so it was a little quiet (I imagine that many people were home, full of Turkey). Even so, the atmosphere was pleasant with good lighting and music that isnt too loud.

5 /5 SB N: Beautiful restaurant with a warm, cosy interior! The food is deliciously fresh and served piping hot. All the vegetarian dishes are full of flavour and presented beautifully. The staff are so friendly and kind, making it a real 5-star experience. I’m delighted this gem has opened in Colindale and will definitely be visiting often. 5 /5 Rupesh Sashte: I visited Saag and honestly had such a great experience. We ordered the chilli garlic chicken, rogan josh, and butter chicken, along with some fresh naan. Every dish had amazing flavour rich, authentic, and cooked perfectly. The chilli garlic chicken was packed with spice in the best way, the rogan josh was beautifully tender, and the butter chicken was creamy and delicious without being too heavy. The drinks and dessert were also really good, and the whole meal felt freshly made with proper attention to taste. Definitely one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend this place!

5 /5 Paul Johnson: Fantastic addition to the area. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, with vegetarian options clearly marked—a big plus for me. Every dish we tried was full of flavour and freshly prepared. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, giving it a warm, stylish feel without being over the top. Service was friendly and efficient, making the whole evening easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended, whether you’re vegetarian or not.
