5 /5 Shyla Puri: Really good spot! Food came out fast and was incredibly tasty. Staff were super friendly and the vibe was great. Things can get a little lost in translation when ordering, but it’s part of the charm. Definitely coming back.

5 /5 Jannika H: I went here yesterday with a friend after a dance workshop and we were hungry! After walking around trying to find something open on a Sunday afternoon and with a decent food hygiene rating (Segen has a 5 - very good) we decided to come here. Boy, am I happy with that decision! The service was excellent, the food was tasty, something we hadnt eaten before, and great value for money! The gentleman who greeted us patiently explained the menu to us. Im vegetarian and like spices (flavour) but not spicy (hot). I went for the mixed platter and the restaurant kindly suggested replacing one of the dishes on the platter with a less spicy one. It was a mix of lentils, beans, cabbage, spinach, and a tomato-y sauce/mash and salads. Everything tasted fantastic. My friend was super happy with his lamb. We ate with our hands, ripping pieces of pancake off and using it to pick up mouthfuls of the dishes. (There was cutlery too, but we went with the authentic experience) We both paid £14 for our meals. I couldnt finish, so my friend had a bit of mine as well. I dont live in the area, so cant easily come back, but I highly recommend it.

Would be a great place to go with a few people, as the food is perfect for sharing and the drinks prices reasonable. Do try with a group of people! We choose the half and half, which gives you the option of two lamb dishes on one plate of injera flatbread/pancake. Then a beef dish and the varierty portion of veg which were so tasty with spinach, lentils, salad etc. Would recommend the more "wet" dishes as the flavours really soak into the bread! Also, the pancake/flatbread can be made gluten free... There was plenty to take away and we didnt need the extra bread! We were given a complimentary traditional Eritrean liquor -Areqi/Areki...anise flavour but not as syrupy or sweet as Sambucca. Dont be put off by the entrance, outside, as it almost appeared closed. 5 /5 Wumi Joye: Delicious food and the platter with additional lamb. Everyone was welcoming and gave us advice on how much food to order. The resturant is a little cold so bring a jumper when its cold out. But delicious food. 10/10 would recommend.
