Suleymaniye Middle Eastern Restaurant - (Near Croydon, South East)

Supersupergirl This place has always been here never but never tried until today because they do grilled chicken. The menu was annoying as half of it was not displaying like the chicken with rice that I got. I was charged 6 pounds for that and it comes with a drink. With grilled chicken it always takes ages but mine was ready in a flash yet the skin was still crispy. I still had some rice left so decided to get some more wings which are 3.50 on the menu for 6. Again, I was just about to sit down and they were ready. Oddly I found 8 but possibly they were small so gave 2 extra? Overall it was delicious especially the wings. The chicken was good but there was something odd about the taste. It was either the grill or the oil that doesnt taste clean.

Ivyy Had the pleasure of being served by Jeff from the Croydon branch (Box Park). He was very friendly and had the best recommendations! We ended up coming back to order again (in the same sitting) because of how good the food was. It definitely tastes like home (Philippines).

Nethmi Lavanya Absolutely delicious food. Its a great place to satisfy South Asian and South East Asian cravings. I especially enjoyed the chicken fried rice, chicken nasi gooren, and roti canai. Food comes fast, and tastes delicious. And the portion size is very generous. 10/10. 100% recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Wafik Doss Lovely restaurant with very nice and catering staff. We’re very kind in alleviating my worries of allergens and the food was delicious. One of the best Persian places we’ve tried for a while. The atmosphere is also very relaxed good Persian music and quite chill in general. Perfect on a weekend. Definitely coming back again with the family!

tina Oren Absolutely fantastic experience at Mahala. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from start to finish. The food was delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really tell care and quality go into every dish. The atmosphere was lovely and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Early Attoh I had genuinely excellent service from Pati today. She was attentive and present throughout, and what stood out most was her initiative — she proactively noticed a delay with my meal and addressed it without me needing to ask. I tried the new Cranberry Katsu, and Pati checked in at the right moment, asked for thoughtful feedback, and made sure it was passed on to the kitchen. She struck the perfect balance between being available and unobtrusive. This was one of those experiences where the service clearly elevated the meal. Pati is a real asset to the team. 5/5 service, no notes.
