1 /5 Ling Shuet: We ordered a takeaway on 14/11 at 6:45pm via Deliveroo, long story short is that the food did not arrive till 9:20pm.
When we called Sushi Garden after an hour of waiting, they said the food had been ready 10 minutes ago, but the Deliveroo driver was refusing to collect the takeaway. They advised us to call Deliveroo.
When we called Deliveroo, they said the restaurant was busy and that food was not ready. The restaurant and Deliveroo were blaming each other.
We called Sushi Garden again, the gentleman we spoke to said the order had been collected but not accepted - whatever that meant.
When we raised concerns that the sashimi we ordered that had been sat there for an hour with hot food would have gone bad by now, the staff again, asked us to resolve this with Deliveroo. When we politely asked for the gentleman’s name he hung up on us, which was absolutely appalling.
The food that eventually arrived was completely cold. Portion of rice dish was tiny and rice had turned hard, soup from noodles was spilled everywhere. Needless to say we did not dare eat the sashimi we ordered and had been sitting with hot food 1.5 hours ago.
Have never experienced such poor service from both a restaurant and Deliveroo before. Completely ruined our Friday night.
Would never order from Sushi Garden again and would not recommend.
