Julija Meskovska Cozy and tiny place in the heart of Barking. That’s probably only decent food you can get in here. Very delicious food every single time since they opened. Friendly staff. Affordable pricing and generous portions. Even my fussy child adores them.

Every dish tasted freshly made and full of depth, from the tender kebabs to the flavourful Chicken Karahi. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. You can really tell they take pride in their cooking and hospitality. Don’t let the simple setup fool you—this place delivers big, authentic Caribbean flavours. The jerk chicken is a standout, grilled to perfection with a smoky kick and just the right level of spice. The curry goat is rich, tender, and full of deep seasoning that tastes like it’s been slow-cooked with care. Served with rice and peas, plus sweet fried plantains, every meal feels hearty and satisfying. What really makes this food cart special is the freshness and speed. Everything is served hot, portions are generous, and the value for money is excellent. The service is friendly and down-to-earth, adding to the overall experience. Kalyan Kamkipati The food is consistently good, with rich flavors and generous portions. The service is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the dining experience even better. The ambience is pleasant and comfortable, suitable for both family and casual dining. Paid street parking is available, though it can be a bit difficult to find at busy times. A definite highlight is the Chicken 65 — it’s a must try and absolutely delicious. Overall, a solid choice for quality food and good service.

FM-N We discovered Afrikana as its on our local takeout list. The food is always always top notch. So we decided to celebrate a birthday at Afrikana, we had to book by email as we were a larger party (7 people). We then turned up early to boot. But everyone was welcoming and our table was ready for us immediately. We ordered the ‘meat again’ as a shared plate, the ‘just kebabin’ with lamb and ‘we goat your back’ which is a family favourite and so delicious. We also ordered the loaded mac n cheese for the pasta freak in the group (who was also the birthday person). And extra plantain because I love plantain, and hummus which was served with the softest most delicious pita. We also had pretty much one of every mocktail, they were all delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not too loud, so we could hear eachother and talk comfortably, the food was fresh and tasty. We ate till we almost popped. Shout out for the desserts, we had one of each of those too. They were all a taste sensation. Special thanks to the amazing wait staff, who were friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough, even tho we turned up early with a massive party (really sorry about that). The food was amazing atmosphere was lovely, and all at a very reasonable price. If you’re celebrating or want to eat out somewhere that makes delicious food this is the place for you. Special mention for the Afrikana fries, if you like slightly hot piquant sauce this ones for you
