5 /5 Samir Khan: I recently hosted a dinner party and was delighted with the quality, quantity, and price of the food I ordered. The food arrived promptly, was meticulously packed, and tasted absolutely delicious. The menu featured Biriyani, Chow Mein, Mutton Korma, and Kebabs. My guests were highly satisfied, especially with the Chicken Biryani, which received particular praise. Given the exceptional experience, I will undoubtedly choose them again for future events.
1 /5 Dinesh Patel: I’m very sad to have to post this new review,
Went here yesterday with my niece and her 3 year old.
Went here yesterday and got 1 chicken curry and 1 lamb curry, sag aloo and rice. We ate it, it wasn’t anything special.
Friday morning and me (51), my niece (32), and her 3 year old were all sick. We have all had bad diaorrhea today, and my stomach is still really bad. I suspect some kind of cross contamination has occured.
I won’t ever be coming back here, and am in the process of writing a letter to environmental health.
The previous review from someone else 2 days ago is very similar.
1 /5 Invisible: I used to come here as a child when the original owners also had a travel agency next door, many many years ago. Back then the chef was excellent and the food was always top quality.
However, over the years the ownership has changed at least around three or four times, and unfortunately the quality has steadily declined. It has now reached a point where any curry or biriyani barely lasts a day in the fridge before going off. In my opinion, the food never tastes fresh, regardless of whether they say it was cooked that day. Again in my “opinion” I strongly suspect that even if it is cooked on the day, it is being mixed with food from previous days which is probably why it goes of so quickly.
Sadly, I have now decided that I will not be returning. I can no longer justify spending my hard-earned money here on tasteless food prepared by a chef who clearly lacks the necessary skill. Instead, I’d rather travel a little further into Norbury where there are plenty of other restaurants serving genuinely fresh and flavourful food.
I sincerely hope the owners consider investing in a better chef OR not make the staff cook the food!! Even more important, start preparing truly fresh food that does not spoil within a day.
5 /5 Zayda Begum: I always pop in and get kebab rolls and snacks from this place. It’s been around for years and the service and taste has only got better. I recently even used them for a catering event and they provided me with hot, tasty piping trays of food at an extremely reasonable price. If you’re looking for home cooked, fresh and tasty then this is the place! Great service always!
1 /5 ecommerce tradingfirm: The worst food; this place should shut down. They have pathetic curries that give you diarrhoea; it feels like the curry is 10-20 days old, with its texture & taste. I dont know where the owner is sleeping, but they seriously need to look into it. Never buy it from here. Never!! Worst place
Yasmin Coutinho Ordered off Just Eat a few days ago and I can’t stop thinking about how tasty the okra stew was. So much flavour. The best okra stew I’ve had!
H Mooney Visited here during a walk, and we had the best piping hot masala chaii & delicious crispy samosas. Such a treat, thank you so much, planning to visit again v soon.
Daniel David The lady who serve me advice to get the spicy food which I like but not love. Service is good but not great. Atmosphere is good. They didn’t offer sauces. But 70% good 30% could be better.
Heather Elliott Had a brilliant experience. I had to give the waitresses my positive comments. The place was full of clients too. Service was quick, Rum Punch was real rum punch.. My steam fish reminded me of JA.. Please keep up the good work. It makes a difference receiving excellent service from a jamaican black business.
