5 /5 Neve Saunders: Amazing food and brilliant service we all had a great night we ordered so much food and had multiple drinks and all still paid under £50 totally recommend this place!!!!
5 /5 Prasad Perera: Food is absolutely delicious.Interestingly, the ambience of the restaurant and the music it plays make it feel like India. The owner is super nice and friendly and spends at least 3,4 minutes talking with guests.
All in all the restaurant is great .I absolutely love it.

5 /5 Damon Sutton: The Raj has a great atmosphere with beautiful furnishings and decorations. The wait staff are very polite and efficient and we greatly enjoy coming here. The food is superb. I particularly enjoy the crab Malabar starter. They have on occasion had live music in the form of a pianist.
5 /5 Julie Lecomte: Great food! A bit more expensive than other place I have been to, but it is worth it! The lounge upstairs was also a nice surprise.
5 /5 Amy Hopton-Smith: Excellent food & service in lovely surroundings. We had mixed starter, onion bhajees, chicken chettinat, lamb naga, garlic nan, sag aloo & plain rice. Was all very fresh, good size portions & served at a good temperature on hot plates which is a plus, plus very tasty. The best Indian food in Canterbury 100%. Visiting here is a must!
Ranger Michael J “Bulldog” Of the years of going to Canterbury, Ive never been in here. Now thats where we head! We always went in to the other wetherspoons at the top of the city.
We head for Canterbury quite a bit & always start with a breakfast.
The west gate is smaller, but much more friendly. Theres less "hustle & bustle" too. Although the food is similar, Ive noticed its hotter?
A really nice little Spoons in our mind.
matthew gosden Thankyou for sorting my order. The food is always good fresh quick lots of and ontime. This is only the best chinese in canterbury. Have a happy new year
James Fox We had an amazing lunch experience. Ordered the set menu which was great value. The staff were extremely friendly and we loved the whole experience.
Nicholas Gibbons One of the best meals of my life.
My wife and I had the tasting menu for lunch on a gorgeous sunny June day. We sat outside by the river that was a picture itself.
The food was fantastic and clearly locally sourced and the wine list had many local wines too, and were reasonable.
Worth the trip from London, which is what we did, mainly for this meal!
Bruce Bolt Ordered the "chicken with green peppers in chilli sauce" for takeaway. Wasnt really sure what the dish would include, but asked for it to be spicy. They didnt disappoint. Both green and red chillies, plus bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, carrot, onions, green peppers and red peppers in a spicy sauce.
Huge portion, both the rice and main dish trays were completely full.
Food was hot and ready for collection earlier than the timescale given online.
Would definitely go back if Im in the city.
