5 /5 Marlyse Clarke: I really enjoyed my time at the old maypole last week. Georgiana served my husband and I and the service was really good. She welcomed us with a warm smile and she was really funny. Thank you for making our time there a splendid one.

4 /5 Carole Livermore: We love coming here infact we eat here every week the food is really good. The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Just lately we have been a tad dissatisfied, our food came up and the extra 2x Stilton cheese sauce we ordered didnt turn up when asked about it one of the staff went into the kitchen to find out what happend to the two lots of cheese sauce we ordered after a long wait the assistant manager came over and told us they had run out so we had them replaced for another kind of sauce, then we noticed no mushrooms so unfortunately we had to ask again where are the mushrooms only to be told they had also run out of them too, we were offered a drink on the house or a free dessert but we declined on both. This week we went as usual my husband ordered a sizzling meal as usual and it came up with no tomato so had to ask where the tomato was and a lovely member off staff went out into the Kitchen to get the tomato that was left off and the poor girl couldnt apologise enough even though it wasnt her fault. We have also noticed on the sizzling plates the fried onions have become a bit scarce and peas on the fish and chips have become smaller in portion.

5 /5 Maximus Liu: Had a solid meal at The Old Maypole, the food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. What really stood out though was our server Kira. She was on top of everything and gave us some helpful suggestions when we were deciding, and kept our drinks topped up even when things got hectic. She made the whole dinner a lot more enjoyable, so if you go, definitely hope Kiras working!
