The Old Town Market Food Hall - (Near , South East)

millie halsall myself and my partner were looking for somewhere to dine before heading over to the theatre and we are SO glad we decided on this restaurant! we were seen to as soon as we entered and were quickly seated. the staff were incredibly attentive and checked back quite often. there’s the option of table service from staff or the use of self-service tablets on the table which we loved it as it meant we got to see photos of the food and what to expect. there was even a little comments button so you can remove certain items from your meal if you wish (definitely useful for me removing the chillies from the katsu). there are also physical menus that you’re given on arrival which was great too! the food came out quick, hot and so well presented! it is honestly some of the best food we’ve had on any of our dates - i definitely recommend the thai duck stir fry and the japanese katsu. portion sizes were very good, we’re already planning our next visit!

Iain Tingley Great pub nice food dog friendly they even have a dog menu lol. Also right up in top of the Downs great view. The building is interesting flint castle style with an interesting history. My mum sister and dog enjoyed. We didnt check out the hotel so cant comment on that.

Palash Chatterjee We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Taka Tak Hounslow, hosting a private closed-group gathering, and the entire experience was simply outstanding. From start to finish, everything was perfectly coordinated just as we had requested. The team ensured that the arrangements were seamless, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the celebration with our family and friends. The food was exceptional — beautifully presented, full of authentic flavours, and served fresh. Every dish was appreciated by our guests, and the quality was consistent throughout the event. The service was amazing. The staff were attentive, courteous, and highly professional. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Sahaj Pal for his excellent coordination and hospitality. He made sure every detail was handled smoothly and went above and beyond to make the evening special for us. It was truly a memorable celebration, and we highly recommend Taka Tak Hounslow for private events, family gatherings, or any special occasion. We will definitely be coming back again!

Matt Derakhshan Delicious!! The flavors/ingredients are different to your traditional dim sum but damn do they work! They are all exceptionally well prepared and cooked. Colorful, flavorful and delicious. We had the squid, the Beijing pork, chicken Xiao long boa, charcoal chicken teriyaki boa. All amazing, could pick a favorite. But I’m sure whatever you order here you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back.

Aflal Mohamed One of the best dum biriyanis Ive ever had from here! For just £7, its an incredible value huge portion, packed with flavor, and filled with generous amounts of tender meat. The taste is absolutely spot on, and the portion size is more than enough to satisfy. Definitely worth every penny!

Wright Chris “Shiner” My son and now daughter-in-law booked this location for their wedding. Honestly, the staff could not have done more if they had tried. From the guy at the front desk to the cleaner I met on the stairs, the level of professionalism, care and duty towards the customer was second to none. The level of service helped make the day into the special day we hoped for. The standard of food at the reception was exceptional as was the breakfast the next day. They appear to have great staff in every position within the location. If you have any concerns, Id recommend paying a visit and trying the food and seeing the staff for yourself. The level of service you see on that day will be the same on your big day. If you do proceed and attend the taster day, the same standard of food will arrive on your big day. I honestly couldnt fault a single thing from a guest perspective. The staff helped make it a very special day and nothing was too much trouble. Id highly recommend The Orange Grove for any event or even if you wanted to stay here for any occasion.
