The Phoenix - (Near Southwark, South East)

5 /5 Joel Miller: Stopped by The Phoenix recently and it’s genuinely one of the better bars I’ve been to around this area — easily deserves 5 stars. The place has a really easygoing feel to it. It’s lively enough to have a good atmosphere, but still chilled so you can actually relax and enjoy yourself. It just feels like a proper local spot where you’re comfortable straight away. Big shoutout to Sam as well — Sam was the best server there. He was absolutely amazing the whole time we were there. Really friendly, quick to help, and just made everything run smoothly without any fuss. Service like that honestly makes such a difference to your night. Another big plus is the prices. For London, they’re very good, and you actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. All in all, great vibes, great value, and standout service from Sam. Would definitely recommend and will 100% be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 /5 Ja ja: I had an appointment at the hospital on Saturday morning 28.2.26, so my daughter took me to lunch across the road at the Phoenix. It was my first time there. The pub is larger than I expected and had seating outside, with electric heaters. Inside one side was a dining area, and the other a bar with tables and seating. On arrival we both ordered a hot chocolate, which was very rich and tasty. I ordered chicken skewers with a sauce, which were tasty and good portion size, from the starter menu. I also had a largar shandy. They had a good beer selection. I met Amia she was attentive and very professional, and was able to answer any question asked regarding the menu. Friar or frazia (sorry can’t rember her correct name) was behind the bar with a very happy disposition. Both girls were really friendly and attentive. Nice to see young people doing a great job with a great attitude. We noted they have a quiz night and Dj night, so we enquired about it. I think this pub must have a great atmosphere in the summer, so I will most probably go there again. Overall my experience 10/10 well done girls.

5 /5 Anthony Joseph: Spent my Tuesday night out with friends who chose this pub. I’m not much of a drinker but my friends thought the drink prices are reasonable and I thought the service was great. That’s hard to find these days. Amia (hope I’m spelling it right) was amazing. She was helpful and polite and her banter kept us entertained all night! 10/10 would recommend.

5 /5 Lola Brisco: We had a brilliant time at this pub. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and was great value for money. The lighting behind the bar was great made it much easier to see, which gave the place a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. Millie served us and was really friendly and helpful throughout. She made the whole visit even more enjoyable.
