The Piltdown Man Pub - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Chris: First visit to the Piltdown Man. The food was excellent. Well cooked and presented. The service was also brilliant; nothing was too much trouble. I also really liked the openness of the restaurant area and the pub in general. Plenty of room between tables. Probably great for family celebrations. I/we’ll be back.

5 /5 Bluebear Railway: We were here having dinner on a Tuesday night. The pub / restaurant was quite busy. We had Salmon on Ratatouille and slow cooked leg of lamb. The presentation was excellent and the dishes were very delicious. The service is very attentive, efficient, friendly and helpful. My dietary requirements were handled perfectly. The pub / restaurant is nicely decorated. A permanent ramp is installed to reach the restaurant part and toilets by wheelchair. The inclusive toilet is well equipped with grab rails and large enough for wheelchairs.

5 /5 Mary Skelton: What a lovely pub! Lovely atmosphere- warm by the real fire but not stuffy or dark. Great friendly attentive staff. A good selection on the menu. Several different veggie options. The best whitebait my husband has ever had!! All good offered came hot, well cooked and very tasty. Nice pint of Harvey’s - couldn’t fault it. Worth the money. Thank you

4 /5 Sexy Sax: My friend and I had the butternut squash Sunday roast. It was nice, the large Yorkshire pudding is impressive. I initially ordered the stuffed aubergine but the skin was inedible and the stuffing completely tasteless. The sauce was very tasty but I returned the meal after trying a mouthful of each. I feel It is overpriced at £16.95. This is the first and only time I have ever returned a meal in any restaurant. I chose to have the vegetarian roast instead. The waiter was polite and the meal was exchanged with a minimum of fuss. There is plenty of parking and a childrens playground.
