5 /5 Philippa Blakeley: Went as part of a hen do with 17 people. Was absolutely incredible! Really well organised and when arranging it, the staff were super hospitality and worked with us to get everything absolutely perfect!! Beautiful table overlooking the river which was exactly as requested. Once we were there, a lovely friendly staff member came and took all our orders. Everything was perfect. Any changes to the food were correct too which for 17 people is fabulous! Absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend!! Thank you for being a part of a very special weekend!!

4 /5 Peter Garrett: Lovely lunch stop before going to see the Pompeii experience. The service was fast and friendly and the food was also great. I had the stateside burger and the New York cheese cake. Both were excellent, very tasty and well prepared. The burger especially tasted very fresh. You can order at the bar or scan the QR code and order to your table using the table number. There is free WiFi from Excel available if needed. Access is flat with no steps meaning pushchairs and wheel chairs shouldn’t have too much of an issue. I loved the feel of the place, aesthetically pleasing to the eye with some low level music it had a good atmosphere. There are booth seats available as well as regular tables. The menu isn’t vast, but there are some decent options available. Based on my experience I’d recommend.

4 /5 Paul Vivas: Great Restaurant (but food was a bit slow) The setting was great and in typical English style food service you had to order the food at the bar. This part worked really well the problem was that we had to wait a very long time for my daughters dish. We had all finished by the time it arrived, so lunch was a bit long. It was summer though I guess that meant there was a lot of orders in parallel.

1 /5 Amy Jones: I’m sorry but got to weigh in here as all 12 of our table left sorely disappointed. Firstly, the lack of table service or even a simple QR code left huge queues running through the bar. Food forgotten, lost and generally quite appalling was the theme. We all ordered separately so there was no excuse for forgetting orders or the peculiar timing of it all. Really disappointing and needs a rethink to get return business.

2 /5 TwoSarus: TLDR: Friendly welcome and nice location, but underwhelming food quality, confusing gluten-free messaging, and pricing that doesn’t reflect the experience. Visited during Pokémon EUIC for lunch and first impressions were positive. Staff were welcoming and the ordering process was straightforward — find a table and order at the bar. Food & Gluten-Free Experience: The menu listed the chicken strips as gluten-free, but when ordering, the barman checked with the kitchen and advised they were not made on site. Instead, they were brought in frozen, and packaging reportedly stated “may contain gluten.” Worth noting for coeliac diners. I chose to take the risk and fortunately had no reaction, but the inconsistency was not particularly reassuring. Food Quality: The fries were standard “holiday-style” chips — enjoyable enough and hard to fault. The chicken strips, however, were disappointing. The breading was overly thick, lacked flavour, and the chicken itself was tough. Sauces (BBQ and ranch) were also underwhelming, both leaning heavily toward a generic creamy taste rather than distinct flavours. The coleslaw was particularly unusual. The dominant orange flavour was unexpected and not to our taste — we left most of it. Value for Money: For two drinks and relatively simple food, the bill exceeded £40. Given the food is not freshly prepared on site, the pricing felt difficult to justify. Overall: A nice waterside setting and polite staff, but the food quality and value simply did not match expectations. Unfortunately, not somewhere we would revisit.
