Yatri Indian Restaurant - (Near Camden, South East)

5 /5 Anju Gauli: Visited yatri on Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was vibrant. The restaurant was clearly popular, with plenty of people walking in booking ahead is definitely recommended. Service was impressively quick, with our food arriving just minutes after ordering, which was ideal given the location near Euston. All of the dishes we ordered were served hot and tasted freshly made, with rich flavours and generous portions. The staff really stood out — everyone was friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Arnav(I am not sure of the name) for taking great care of us, and apologies for forgetting the name of the other team member who was also excellent. but overall a great experience and we’d happily return whenever we will visit to London.

4 /5 Don R Campbell: The word "very" was used a lot during this Thursday night visit at 7:30pm. Very busy. The place was hopping and more kept coming hoping to get in. (Lesson: go online and book). Very fast. Our food was at our table within 7 minutes of ordering. Perfect for a restaurant so close to Euston and St Pancras stations. Very fresh. The meals were hot (temp) and fresh without that "this has been sitting for a while" taste. Excellent depth of flavour, lots of protein in the curry. We ordered Muglai Kadhai Lamb (gluten free) and Chicken Makhani. Very friendly. The staff, everyone of them we interacted with, were friendly and helpful. Very good price "for London." Meal including wine and cider and service charge came to £56.82 . Apologies for the red hue of the photos, we were sat outside under the heaters. Well definitely return again.

4 /5 Khan Yassar (Manchester Tech Guy): There are two caveats Id like to present before continuing with my review. Number 1 - the restaurant is in Londons City Centre and so the prices are reflective of that. Number 2 - the food has a bias towards the White British population, which is again understandable. Given all of that, the quality of the food was excellent. The Lamb Samosas featured pieces of Lamb, rather than the traditional mince. The Lamb itself was tender and the spice mix was very appetising. They arent served with any sauces, so Id suggest ordering the Basket of Papadums and using the sauces provided with that. The Dhaniya Adaraki Champ (Lamb Chops) were unique in the sense that they made use of a different type of marinate. I quite enjoyed the Coriander and Ginger infused meat. It came off the bone quite easily and I felt satisfied that I hadnt left any meat behind. Two chops for £11 was quite the hit to my wallet, but they were a highlight of my meal and I cant complain too much. The Lamb Hari Mirch did not taste spicy at all to me. Again, this hearkens back to who the target audience is and I feel like there should be a spicier option that caters for South Asian palates. I did still enjoy it, despite the lack of spice. The Garlic Naan was a nice compliment to the Curry, although I did find the Naan to be a little thinner and smaller than Im used to. I ordered 2 for this very reason. Service was excellent. Food was served as soon as it became ready and as I requested. The Servers were friendly, polite and not overbearing. One clear negative was the intimacy of the seating. The tables were far too close to each other for my liking and I would have liked a bit more space between them. It didnt quite fit the bill for a 5* rating as I have a bias towards the curries we have in the North.

5 /5 Mohand Benabdelouahed: Amazing experience at Yatri! The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, they really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and tasty Indian food. Will definitely come back!

5 /5 Nickin Sitaram: Having walked past this place a couple of times, I thought it was time to try it out with the family. I was in need of some tandoor food and the kids, loving butter chicken, we had to give this restaurant a go. We were all pleasantly surprised. I think you could say this restaurant is bit of a hidden gem. From the tandoor, we ordered the fish, prawns , chicken and lamb. These were fantastic. All of they were succulent, with great marinated flavours but also holding some of the charcoal from the tandoor. The wife and kids had the railway and butter chicken with some naans (garlic and cheese) and rice. The dishes came in a lovely Tiffin style container adding a real authentic presentation.They really enjoyed the dishes and there wasnt any left to doggy bag. The service was excellent. The staff were polite and very attentive. We booked via The Fork so we got a 30% discount. This meant we paid less than £100 for 6 mains, rice, 2 naans, drinks and 2 lots of salad and 3 dessers. This was phenomenal value. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.
