5 /5 Kieron Fitzpatrick: I asked Google for an Indian restaurant near Crawley whilst staying at Gatwick. It recommended Zari. What a great choice. Was advised to have the Chicken Makhani and Pea and Mint Dal. Both were excellent. Good honest well priced food. You won’t be disappointed.

5 /5 Kathryn Hansraj: We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at this lovely Indian restaurant. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was fantastic. We tried the lamb biryani and absolutely loved both the presentation and this particular style of biryani; it was beautifully served and full of flavour. All the food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed every part of our meal. The service was exceptional. The waiters were super friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. To finish, we tried the homemade ice creams, which were delicious; especially the pistachio and zafran. Just before we left, the waiter kindly prepared a small digestive for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to end the evening. We’ve just moved to the area and will definitely be making this our new go to Indian restaurant. Highly recommended!

Things that really stood out for me: Gracious, friendly, professional service - everyone has a real passion for the quality dishes created in their kitchen. Lovely twist (literally!) in popadoms Immaculately clean crockery, cutlery and glasses. Warm plates for every dish. Cobra beer on draught. Beautiful pint glasses. Very clean lavatories. Unobtrusive chilled music to dine by. Herb and spice blends are all made by the chefs in house. Great variety of both popular Indian classics, and also some very special regional dishes. I will definitely eat at Zari again when l am next in the Gatwick area.

5 /5 I Am Miss Jay: I’ve been to Zari a couple of times now and I’ve been served by the lovely Sam! The atmosphere, the service and the FOOD is absolutely amazing and authentic! I’ve been to many well known indian restaurants in London and honestly nothing compares to Zari! The butter chicken is now my personal favorite but honestly all their dishes are lovely. Thank you to all the staff including the lovely Shar who have been nothing but incredible welcoming and warm. I’ll be coming back for Valentine’s Day!

5 /5 Seemee Khan: We had an amazing first time at Zari restaurant. It was a family get together and my sister’s birthday and Zari came recommended to me and it didn’t fail. Each of the meals we got for 10 of us was so tasty and well made. The chef gets our applaud. The chine was authentic with fresh ingredients and scents to make your mouth melt. The atmosphere was nicely furnished with a feeling of being in India itself. We’d definitely book again and have a meal again in the nearest future.
