Avebury - (Near Berkshire, South East)

5 /5 Ian Davis: I always enjoy neolithic ruins/monuments and this is definitely one of the better ones Ive been too. Plenty of formations and other things to see and walk to in the surrounding area as well. Definitely recommend.

5 /5 paul lewis: As a member of English heritage we didnt have to pay parking but people were moaning about having to pay for a full day no other options and £8 to much. We went in the museum which explained a lot about the excavations and all the artifacts that were found in the ditches. The walk around the stones was getting muddy with all the rain but it was still a good day out.

5 /5 Eyeam (mind2): Avebury is a magical place, defo worth the visit. The stone circle here feels more alive and peaceful unlike Stonehenge that can get very crowded as you can imagine, its freely open to walk among the stones and feel the ancient energy of the place! The village, the museum, as well as the nice nearby trails making it a perfect day-trip for anyone interested in history, spirituality, or just a beautiful walk through the English countryside.

4 /5 Sal Snook: Beautiful place to visit. Highly informative. My only gripe was the ticket system. You hand in a ticket in one area, and then dont have a ticket to visit another location. Very well maintained.
