4 /5 Prashant Shukla: One of the main highlight in Reading and definitely worth a visit if you are in Reading. It was damaged and closed for many years. Its been heavily restored and well maintained since open. You would get to know detailed information about its history with informative displays board dotted around. Not much left now except walls, and gates. You wont enjoy it if you dont like history and expecting architectural buildings.
Its in walkable distance to the town centre and free of charge.
5 /5 Artur Kyselov: So eery. So big. So mysterious. I loved it. I followed the signs not expecting anything overly exciting but I found this little gem. Its huge and standing amongst the ruined walls makes you feel small. Short but interesting experience!
5 /5 Christina 1010: The ruins are perfect for a walk through a historical site. There are many information panels explaining the former building and the era. Its also well-explained and easy for children to understand, as the signs always include fun facts. Some panels are interactive, by turning a crank, you activate a speaker and can listen to different recordings. I really enjoyed my visit.
