5 /5 Atunise Oluwatosin Emmanuel: I stumbled across Miki’s Paradise on Holloway Road and I’m so glad I did. It’s one of those places that instantly feels welcoming the moment you step inside. The vibe is cosy but lively, with a splash of fun in the décor that makes it feel a little different from the usual chain cafés around.
The food is what really makes it special. Their crepes are amazing — both the savoury ones (the halloumi is a favourite) and the sweeter options if you’re in the mood for something indulgent. On top of that, they do some seriously over-the-top freakshakes that are just as fun as they are tasty. I also tried their coffee and a smoothie, and both hit the spot.
What stood out to me too was the staff — they’re genuinely friendly and make you feel looked after, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
If I had to be picky, it can get busy (especially on match days with the Emirates Stadium nearby), so sometimes service takes a little longer than you’d like. But honestly, the food and the overall vibe more than make up for it.
All in all, it’s a great spot whether you want brunch with friends, a sweet treat, or just a nice coffee break. Definitely one of the nicer finds in Holloway.
