5 /5 Anoop Thomas: My wife and I visited Afrizi for our anniversary after a recommendation from a friend, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly flavourful, fresh, and truly touched our souls with its authenticity - you can tell every dish is made with love and tradition. We enjoyed everything we ordered: the perfectly fried plantains, juicy chicken wings, delicious mutton stew with jollof rice, and the chicken stew with jollof rice. Every bite was a delight! To make our celebration extra special, the lovely team surprised us with complimentary puff-puffs topped with biscoff, coconut, and pistachios - such a thoughtful and delicious touch. The staff were warm, polite, and provided exceptional customer service throughout our meal. We also loved their niche selection of beers and ciders, which paired wonderfully with the food. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Afrizi is truly a hidden gem in Basingstoke, and we can’t wait to return to try even more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Nigerian cuisine and a wonderful dining experience!

5 /5 Alex H: Great place to check out. Jollof rice and mutton + beans and plantain were really good. Lamb chops also very nice and service and atmosphere was 10/10. Nigerian beers as well, which was nice to try.

4 /5 Harui Li: A casual restaurant for friends and family. We ordered: gizzado, mix grill suya, garlic bread, beans and plantain. All dishes were delicious, the gizzard was a bit sweeter than I thought but not in a bad way. The chicken suya tasted nicer than the beef - for the salad I think it would be nicer if the lettuce wasn’t chopped so the meat could be wrapped with the lettuce. Garlic bread was slightly disgusting as it didn’t have a strong garlic profile, it felt more like toast with butter only. Drinks- guava, strawberry and mango smoothie was fresh. The milo smoothies was a bit too sweet and heavy for my taste. The restaurants decor is very nice and feels lively. Ama, Kiara and Zara were the staff we interacted with and everyone was friendly. Kiara was our server and the one we interacted with the most, she was very friendly and made the dining experience more pleasant. The menu on the website and in the one in the restaurant is a bit different, I think both menus need to be updated to the most recent one. Would come back again and try other dishes.

5 /5 David Megson-Smith: This was my first time trying African cuisine, and it was a fantastic experience! The waiter was incredibly friendly and really knew their stuff. They served up some truly unique and delicious dishes. Plus, the atmosphere of the place was really pleasant and inviting. Ill definitely be back for more!
