4 /5 Joseph Siniscalchi: Unfortunate mix experience at Agora. Greeted by very rude hostesses who didn’t believe we had a reservation despite email confirmation. Then put us in a very undesirable table despite plenty of others being opened and stating they were reserved. Well we had a reservation! Tables that were free were available during our meal too.
Then had to ask for drinks each time we needed one. And from finishing meal to having to ask for check, waited 30 minutes with no one offering dessert or coffee.
Food arrived very timely due to hard working grill person and cooks.
Food was simply outstanding. Authentic as we have visited Turkey. Had mezze, lamb shish kebab and vegetarian moussaka. All food was fresh, tasty and delicious.

Updating review as the restaurant owner was nice enough to respond, simply:
- my name is Joseph, not Joshua and you should try and take feedback to improve experience of customers, not be defensive.
- hostess has an attitude. Read your other reviews, I am not the first one to state so.
- two tables of two were available shortly after we sat at the “chefs table”, but hostess said nothing was available. She also said a group of tables were all taken, but group came in and table of two was not used until later
- I have sat at chefs tables, what you offer is not a chefs table. Interesting to watch things being cooked if you don’t mind smelling like smoke and meat
- couple came in before us and elected to wait for over an hour and come back rather than eating at “chefs table”
- my wife was not rude at all during meal. If your feel having to constantly flat staff for drinks or for bill after waiting 30 mins when we finished our meal is rude, than that’s the issue
- I will post a picture of email. It was not rude at all.
